Nice find. Ive only seen one myself. They're pretty neat little critters.

The point of the classified section is for individuals to sell/trade things. (The item has apparently already been sold and removed, so I don't know what the sale was for.) Generally, if it is 'personal' stuff it's OK. If it is someone advertising or selling something that is 'commercial', that would tend to cross the fuzzy line. There is also a judgment call regarding the goods/services though, in that if the goods or services would be in direct competition with someone who IS advertising their goods on this site, then we would want them to become an advertiser to keep it fair to those who are in fact paying. S. Stanley: thanks for the information. For the sake of discussion, where does a 'start up' guy who's fabbing stuff at home as a hobby fall in here? I know theres some guys making bear boxes and other welded goodies and I myself have played around and sold a couple stabilizer offsets I machined on here before. I guess its probably best to email and ask first when dealing with something thats new product for resale.

I didnt think you had to be a sponsor to sell something in the classifieds? When did that start?

This brings up another intersting topic. Anyone seen the effects of that water release below Morelos Dam last year? The cottonwood saplings exploded when surface water was reintroduced for a brief period. There are supposed to be huge numbers of new cottonwoods growing. Wonder if this could possibly be the effect with the beaver? Retaining much more water at the surface and leading to better wildlife opportunity all around. If you like nature documentaries, check this one out. It's around the 21:00 mark that they do the segment on the beavers making their little oasis in the Nevada desert. Pretty cool stuff! http://video.pbs.org/video/2365243455/

dang Upside is it sounds like you may still be on his Christmas card list??? -
Been about 16 years since the last time I tried it and I'm still sore. You can have it, I'll sit and watch those younger guys stretch their egos and bruise their backsides.

Thanks. He's a 27 buck & the little guy's a 24b buck. I actually hadn't even planned on mounting that little guy, but when I skinned him out & laid his head down, it looked so pretty sitting on the grass I had to go for it. He was my first coues anyway, so also a good memory I'm glad I kept.

Pbs has a great documentary called 'leave it to beavers'. They showed a place in Nevada where a couple of beavers had turned a desert sand wash into an incredible green oasis. It was amazing. Apparently there is some sort of initiative to reintroduce them throughout the west. Very interesting animals

Saw a couple I wouldn't mind letting the air out of. Nice pics!

Exactly what I was thinking. Range cattle will decimate your water and your salt if you use that too. -
Muley although I've got some old trail cam pics floating around with some pretty decent 37b coues deer on them.

Im sorry for her family. Can't imagine anything worse than losing a child. Seems like a waste to give up a good hearted person to a bunch of heathens who only know war and prejudice and for what? A thousand years from now they'll still be the same. That region will never know peace.
-
Another vote for muley. I wouldnt mind a broadside shot at the guy who dropped it.
-
Congrats sounds like a great experience!

+1 to that. Just the fact that somene is willing to put in the time and effort to collect their food the old fashioned way says a bit about their character. Im glad you got your weapon back. Cant wait to see what you take with grandpa's muzzle loader.
-
Yeah he didn't have a clue what was happening. I cant say I'd be willing to take a head on shot at a big animal like a bull elk, but its hard to argue with the lethality of that one. Even if he'd bolted that elk wasnt going far.
-
Im another bonus pointer. Wont have much time to hunt this year, so taking another bp for elk and speed goats.
-
No worries guys, im planning on undoing a lot of b.s. after im inaugurated in 2016. Lets get the word out early, theres a working man / small business owner heading for Washington. Been a while....
-
David long's public land mulies, the bottom line. My copy came with a DVD too. Good read although it was back ordered at the time.
-
Hard to find a better starting point than this.
-
Thats what its all about. I love being in tight with them and its even better from ground level. Closest I've been to a live one is about six feet. Not sure if i'll ever beat that but I'd like to match it again.
