Just keep in mind that's more of a sitting tripod. I don't like sitting on the ground to glass so I pack the REI trail stool with a small inflatable glassing pad. It should be perfect for that.

In that case it might be a good idea to go with your 10s for quick scanning and get 15s or even 18s for your main glass.

My youngest boy is left eye dominant but i have him using a righty rifle left handed and he drilled his first deer last year. With all the factory ammo out there the 7-08 and the 6.5cm have a wide variety of choices. Hornady makes a 150 grain for the 7-08 and also nakes a 147 for the 6.5. And you can get lots of choices down to 129 grain i think for both calibers. Cant go wrong with either, wait to see the best black friday deal and go for it

Are you gonna pack a spotter? Will you stand to glass or sit? The slick carbon 634 is a good tripod and you can get carbon extensions to make it a bit taller. the benro S2 is a good tripod head for the money. The vangaurd ph111 is a good head too but a tad heavier. For glass meopta 12s are good and hold there value well and you can easily sell them to upgrade to the swaro later. If you are not gonna pack a spotter then consider the swaro 12s.

Regular gps has the sight and go though. Its the only reason i keep it. Great for staljing a bedded buck or finding a downed animal. But thats literally the only reason i keep it
