Was on the phone with him yesterday morning didn't realize it was actually the same guy, I thought he worked for emcor and I was on the phone with a guy named Arnie Fisher asking about a job for another company only to find out later the company changed hands and it was actually him that I was talking to. Wish I would have known it was him cuz I know a lot of people that know the guy but I never met him personally myself.

Decided not to do the usual tradition of going to the chili cook-off and hanging out at the park, decided to make a bunch of food this year instead. Mommas making deviled eggs and roux for some gumbo, Auggie loved it when we visited New Orleans. A family favorite. No frog legs this year. Im on smoking a small pork shoulder. Dug the old electric smoker up from the depths for this. Been testing it today to make sure it dont let me down tonight. And Auggie (a gosh darn kid with a flare for food) ordered a bunch of mmmmmaryland blues with his own check from working at Dickeys. Incidentally we got like three pounds of free crab claws because the last batch we got seem to be seriously lacking claws so they decided to make it up to us this time around! Lets see some pics!

Pork wasnt quite ready for the first pic, I was worried I dried it out too much by smoking it overnight but when I put it back in there I wrapped tight in paper and added some apple cider vinegar and water then let it rest in a cooler for an hour. Omg is all i can say. That 12" pellet tube is the bees knees.

Well on public land only cage trapping is legal. That basically limits you to bobcats and smaller critters.

Red and green are supposed to be outside of a dog's visible spectrum. But white lights will also work there's a really popular hunting show where they have ginormous white lights shining in the dogs still come in but I read that they made that change for the sake of filming. But even though white lights work you have to think about all the times that you've been out night fishing and every time you turn on your headlamp the bugs completely attack your face that's really where the red and green lights will shine if your night hunting during bug season.

If your cage trapping you won't catch a lion but if you kill one you have to legally keep the meat. That aside there's lots of gland that you can take off Bobcats to make a lure. Aside from that if you do catch an animal depending on what you're targeting rub the animal's body all over the cages after you've made sure to take your scent off of it and the more it smells like animals the better. When I catch mice and rats in my Bait Box when doing Pest Control I'll rub their bodies all over the inside and outside of the box and it definitely helps.
