No just had too much going on and cash flow shortage. Buddy killed a buck last night and a couple with Fridays tag showed up at our spot while I was on the hill with him. They apparently have the first bear i glassed on cam, Zackcarp got to see the pic said it was a big fatty.

Dude that is so awesome! After seeing your perseverence on the last 2 elk hunts i was pulling for you bigtime. Im super thrilled for you man, huge congratulations and kudos to momma for glassin them up. Very well done my man!

Glassed another halfway decent bear this am. Man im gonna actually start going after bears now. Also came across 18 piles of bear scat in to a glassing spot 2 days ago and now im really getting fired up for next season.

Update!

And remember the tighter the boot fits the more R-value you lose when the socks are compressed. Might be worthwhile to get bigger boots with more foot space inside. Look for ones where you can tigjtwn the foot to a seperate tension of the ankle. Lowa makes lots of models this way so tou can keep your foot loose but ankle tight.

Keep at it dude. Love these live threads! And good luck!

I'm glad it was the bull and not the guy that took a tine to the eye. I cant remember what it was that I read, (or think I may have) but the jist was if an animal takes some kind of injury on one side of the body they can have messed up antler growth on the other side of the body. Am I on crack or has someone else heard of this? This bull would definitely fit that description. It may have been in the deer of the southwest book or that whitetail strategies book they used to sell at Walmart like 20 years ago.

Seems good in 35a

Well first do you know HOW to hunt them? Decent glass, tripod etc? You need to look up threads on how to glass. Then put it into action by going out and looking. Remember when glassing and tou find deer ask yourself how would i set up for a shot at this animal. Is it way to far for a shot? What are your shooting capabilities? Do you have good boots and gear? At this point focus on the how too, after that look at the links trphyhntr posted for places to start. Dont focus on big deer starting out. Kill a spike, fill a tag and build your confidence level.

Guided Mexico Coues Hunt, how big of a buck should you holdout for?
CatfishKev replied to DonkeyMan's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Size wise it comes down to what the ranch is known for i would think. I'd be highly disappointed if I paid $3k and saw few to no 105+ bucks. I've seen some absolute monsters (pics here) come from down there but also saw plenty that would be of typical quality for any AZ southern unit. If it's a ranch known for big bucks I'd hold out for 105+. Also I would factor in if they had real good rains down there when it mattered the most and maybe hold out for something even bigger. -
Auto detailing and a Cwt discount. That's a fantastic symbiotic relationship!
