Almost $800 to process 1 deer is ridiculous. When paying a processor it's usually for a lack of time on my part but steaks roasts and burger always. If you want specialty crap just do that stuff yourself. Don't quote me on it but I think our kids elk have generally been in the 300-400 range

When kids have tags coming up sometimes you will get an email or a notification that they have a field day set up but it's mostly just for the tag holders not one that they have advertised so maybe you could call game and fish and ask

No need. The regular vortex adapters work just fine. Not the big one that use to come with kaibabs though. I don't like those, too big and bulky. All my glass has the vortex uni mount already stuck to my benro plates. I just swap out whatever I want to glass with on the same tripod.

Not for me. I've never really had a real harsh odor during gutting but I've never gutted a lion. This was told to me by Dale from wild heritage taxidermy. Lion meat is great but the smell is awful (I'm told). I figure he's in the know more then I am. That being said I've cut into the stomach of animals and I always tell myself to never do it again. Uncontrollable dry heaves and all.

I've only heard lion meat is great but the smell when you cut them open would turn you off.

Thought maybe a Thai soup or something. I'd give it a taste though!
