I did but calender year is a calender year. One in Dec and one in Jan is still 1 buck per calendar year. Not sure where his point of contention is since December is not really a rut hunt. If someone wants to kill in December thinking they are rut hunting by all means have at it. I'll take the January hunt all day everyday.

At best you'll get some pre rut activity. Real rut down south is usually mid January. Good luck though, you got time which is best case scenario especially on a year when the last hunt starts early like this.
