Agreed. Never even drawn an elk tag yet. When I started hunting I wanted to be a better hunter before actually putting in for archery elk. Didn't know how the draw worked back then. Spent 10 years not putting in or buying points like a doofus and now i wanna go back in time and slap myself stupid.

Nah I'm slammed with work which is great, don't wanna land a great tag without proper time to do it justice. Besides the kid tags are honestly super fun. Should be 10 or 11 next year for me. Still not sure what unit i want though.
-
Points for me and momma this year but at least one youth tag possibly 2 should be in the works for us. Good luck.

@Hucker has a Tikka 30-06 stainless t3 he's selling for $650. Pretty good deal since even blued actions alone are going for $600 here lately.

That's a heck of a shot with a 357! Very nice.

3 for 3. Excellent!

The manfrotos seem easier to get without a tripod head which I would recommend. For the price vs value I like the benro s2 but looks like the va5 head is cheaper now then what I remember it being in the past. For $150 the 290xt tripod is a great value and still lighter then my vanguard alta264ao that I'm using.

For clarification. If 2 kids are in a household apply twice or just once and note it in the email?

2005 Cadillac Deville - Excellent condition - Low miles

Me and my mom got hit pretty good pulling into our driveway in a late 80s seville. Spun us 360. The car took it like a champ and we were fine. Looking back I kinda miss that car. -
Don't phuck around, this guy is unhinged. Have him file an order of protection (restraining order). As I understand it you can file it but if dude wants to fight it he can show up and defend himself at the hearing. Whether the judge grants it or not does not matter, at least it's all on file. Tell the kid to keep his head on a swivel and good luck.

Based on What Curtis said if they don't have a brace just a buffer tube and no foregrip it would still be a pistol unless I misunderstood
-
@Crazymonkey delete that! I have to wonder what if you bought a lower from someone else? I gotta look at mine and see if its one I bought new or from a buddy. Not surprised on the brace ruling honestly but these rules sure are ambiguous.

Life is good right now, same to you. -
Points for grownups this year. Got two kids in for 23 youth, at least one should draw. Good luck to all
-
So with less then a 16" barrel you are legal as long as there is no brace or foregrip?
-
Dam Tim, didn't realize you smelled like poop. I'm not smellin so fresh these days either. That's cool your kiddo wants to learn welding. Good on her.
-
Lol, swore you did it on purpose. The whites almost line up perfectly. Glws.

New Mexico GMU 26/27

It wasn't a dig at you, that's really just the norm when a new member asks for advice. Then they get it and never return. At least you responded. Sorry to hear about your mom though and good luck on your future hunts. -
A dude sold a pair here awhile back with what I think was a homemade carbon fiber plate. Maybe a thin sheet of aluminum to start and then wrap layers yourself. Pretty sure I saw stuff on Amazon to make your own carbon fiber products but maybe you can buy premade pieces. Idk.

I'll ask the lady that told me. I'll see her Tuesday. I think they are hard to come by since COVID.

I heard some of the ones from the border were gonna get auctioned off but don't know where.

Nice to see an objective point of view from someone who actually has both. Given that you could get 2 big eye setups for the cost of the btx sure makes the kowas setup very appealing. If I had 5k to play with for optics I'd go NL pure 12s and kowa big eyes. If packing far pull one of the kowas and just pack the spotters. Curious as I haven't seen one of the Adams adapters. Could you drill some more holes in the plate to shave some weight off? I wonder how hard it would be to form a carbon fiber plate....

Really don't know details just a couple pics from a buddy and that it supposedly went 201". I have no idea when or where. Maybe someone can chime in.
