It would seem the sportsman are in fact divided. The biggest issue I have with it is the minority who doesn't even hunt whines and moans a bit and then laws are changed to control the majority. It's also a little aggravating when national forest areas are peppered with private homes. Case in point the East side of the huachucas. No it's not difficult to get past a quarter mile from a building but it's still annoying when people want nature in there back yard but don't want hunters.

Maybe they are trying to turn things around? Seems the owner should have these two threads pointed out to him and if he gives a hoot about his company he will clean house and try to right the wrongs of the past. I will say this.. Owning a company sucks these days when you have to count on employees. It's really not worth the hassle, that's why I closed mine and will go solo if I ever start one up again.

Agreed, I did say I can sympathize. But there are many reasons one might hunt within a quarter mile of their or another's home other than not being good at hunting. Nuisance animals, time, physical ability etc. I think what GnF gives the champ hunters is a freakin joke. Also most people that have a problem with animals being killed are still meat eaters that go to Safeway to get their protein in nice clean packages. I'm perfectly willing to hear a vegan or vegetarians opinion on my hunting, but a meat eater that's anti hunting just irritates the crap out of me. In my humble opinion it would be nice to see GnF take the side of sportsman on this one.

Yup. I went and looked at the place that sells them up there. Seemed reasonable for what they wanted for them and they seem pretty easy to work. Super easy to get parts for them.

Except for its not their pet. It's a wild animal that they're probably not supposed to be feeding to begin with. While I can sympathize with a non hunter growing an appreciation for an animal they see every day and grow a bond with they should realize its a game animal and have realistic expectations of what could potentially happen to that animal.

At that age I'd be inclined to try some of those cheap chinese ones they sell up your way. Their all over craigslist. I hear they're decent if you go over all the nuts and bolts with lock tite. I was even thinking about trying the 250 for myself strictly for hunting.

Glad it worked out. For most I'm sure it ain't like that.

Looks great. Chicken fried backstraps will make a game meat hater a game meat lover. It turned my wife right over.

I'm a licensed contractor (remodeling, drywall, roofing). Feel free to run the quoted numbers by me just to make sure your not getting hosed. Most contractors don't want to strip and refinish, too much of a pain. Probably cheaper and easier just to order new ones. If its something you wanna do yourself you could check out Lily Ann Cabinets.

I'd rather break it up and have a high chance of going every year and have the members of the fam pitch in for the tag holders. Besides if you all get drawn you'd have to give to much meat away. Make the whole family go regardless, its fun either way.
