Nice job, your a pig findin machine. So is the green shirt your lucky pig hunting shirt or something? I'm starting to see a pattern.

Nice! Looks like the rifle was overkill, she coulda used a bow! Congrats.

Well at least someone in your house got to go pig huntin. I was supposed to take my wife out this morning but she wasn't feeling well. So I went and told her I'd call her if I got on some. Got to the top of the hill and puked my guts out, had to pull over again on the way home to puke more. Now I in bed. I did see a couple pigs though, hopefully feel better tomorrow morning and well get on them again. Tell her congrats.

Good job dad! That first pic reminds me of my wife when I bring her with me to help out on jobs. I'm usually workin and she's usually slacking.

Now that you've been doing it awhile have you noticed whether your spending more on food? Or less?
-
First one was awesome.

Just thought of this. You might want to look into rolfing. It's similar to deep tissue massage but they work on and stretch the (fascia) connective tissue, tendons etc. and take unwanted pressure of the joints. I know a guy down my way that does it and lots of people swear by it rather than massage.

Did anybody lose a dog out in 36c/Three points area?
CatfishKev replied to PelaPapas's topic in The Campfire
Dang thats a bummer! I went out both Saturday and Sunday with my brother in-law who also had a tag. All we seen all weekend long was deer. Actually too many deer now that I think about it haha. Some great looking bucks too. We did not see one pig. We talked to a few other others who were out there since Friday and had similar results. If my schedule works out for this weekend I may be heading out there with my 4 year old son to see if I can get it done! All depends on my daughters softball schedule. Yup it's amazing how many deer you see when looking for pigs. -

Howd you do on the hunt? Was supposed to be there but the trip got scrapped. Tried to go solo Sunday morning but my huntin rig left me sit in Tucson. Had to wait for a ride from SV then come get it towed the next day. I'm hopin to head back out there at least for a day or two yet before the hunt ends -

Never hunted it but if you hunted there you could camp at Patagonia lake and fish for flatheads at night!- 27 replies

Daughter takes her first archery Javi***UPDATED***
CatfishKev replied to hunter01's topic in Youth Hunters
Wow that's a big pig! And your daughters name is also Hunter? That's cool. I shot a deer right through the heart once. He stayed so calm and slowly walked off I thought I missed. Never was able to pop off a second arrow because I couldn't see strait from the adrenaline. When I opened him up and found the heart I couldn't believe it. -
Really!!!!!!! 78,000 for an air lift???? Talking about taking avantage of insurance companies! Go to Sedona for a ride, up,to 500 dollars a person and going down to Havasupi is a few humdred dollars one way! I could understand emergency airlift 10k and personnel 8k and medical equipment 2k a total 20k. But 78k is high way robbery. But nonetheless glad you had insurance and modern technology to make it back and be ok Everything related to healthcare is ridiculous. I broke a toe once and they gave me this Velcro open foot shoe thing. Basically a Velcro flip flop. It was on the bill for almost $200. I get medical professionals should be paid well but one flip flop for what a pair of Jordan's cost. I don't think so. Part of the reason health insurance cost are ridiculous.

On the way back from Tombstone to Sierra Vista my boss came across an accident. Dude was a hunter that got ejected from his jeep. He was conscious and aware but wasn't in hardly any pain. Not always a good sign. He probably was on a dirt road just poppin back out on the main road to hit the next one and Boom! Life just got real different. It made me think about all the times I think I'm just heading to the next place just down the road. I've been making myself and kids wear the seat belts EVERY SINGLE TIME (the kids always have but not me) even if I'm only going a very short distance. You just never know what could happen and it sure ain't worth your life, or even worse someone else's. Side note, the dude ended up with a broken neck. It happened to be a neihbor of one of my coworkers pest control customers. Last time he was at her house he saw the guy walking around with a neck brace. Lucky, lucky dude. Glad your OK, but be more careful.

Well the upside is you can get a crossbow permit if you want to. Just do it before the surgery. Hope it gets better for you.

Vowell, thanks for posting this. I'm still a little confused but I'm getting there...

"Worst Pig Hunters in Arizona" Break Through
CatfishKev replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Nice job dad. They can be tricky little buggers. -
Growing up close to farm country with cold winters, I really expected something different based on the title.

I got a pair of kaibabs and leupold switch powers. I constantly find myself reaching for the switch powers just because they are convenient. I don't mind that they are not as good as the kaibabs. Water for the day is heavy enough, I'd rather not carry all the extra weight.

In my opinion it would be worth the aggravation to hunt Ft. Huachuca in 35a. We call it the zoo.- 27 replies

CatfishKev replied to reece_mess16's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Those are primo hunts. If you want to hunt next year put in for a early or mid season rifle hunt in a southern unit. You will likely be drawn, it's beautiful country down here and there still good bucks.- 27 replies
