I spent too many years as a contractor doing a better job then others for less money. In retrospect I wouldn't do it that way again. Do yourself a favor and charge what you are worth. You need to make a living not a wage. If your mentor says you are worth 175 that is what you should be charging. Not this time around for this particular post because you already named your price. But next time around or on craigslist be fair to yourself.

Did your son knock any down? Food looks great -
Did you let him know it's illegal now?

Bang for the buck it's a great rifle. Got one for the youth hunts not shot it yet. Bout to order a scope. Planning on a krg bravo chassis of funds allow before the hunt. @ Prdatr The mossbergs seem to have a lot of value but from out of the box accuracy the reviews I've seen were less then stellar. I'd steer them to the predator from Ruger

For the money and known accuracy the Ruger American predator would be my choice.

I do hear what you are saying... We owe respect to the animals we hunt (essentially). At least I think that is your point. And yes I actually agree. Therefore we should use best case scenario weaponry for an ethical kill. But, as a bow hunter at heart Im torn. Just because more lethal options are available I still prefer my way. Am I wrong?
-
Can't agree with you here. Sometimes it takes more to finish them off. Even when shot placement is on point. Even if first shot is a kill why not finish them off sooner? Lots of double lung animals take time to expire. Even if he was using top of the line ammo out of the same weapon the end result could have been exactly the same.

Great value here as well as your PSE bow madness post. Great way for a new hunter to get into archery. Only problem is you are a dang lefty! Good luck with sale. Free bump -
I wondered because I've heard so many people talking about peeling them over the years. Honestly didn't know why. Are you using a pressure canner?

Question, do you gotta roast them and peel them to can them?

Cool to see a youngster working for something and not just have it handed to him. Keep up the good work dad.

Mulies or Coues Arizona youth rifle unit 23?
CatfishKev replied to Dadof3's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Hey Russ. In my mind a big coues requires more patience and diligent glassing and probably farther shots on a smaller target. But after climbing a mountain and sitting all day waiting the boy has proved he has salt. I'd glass in am and evening and sit tanks in a blind during the day. Download some movies and games on a tablet to combat the boredom. We were sitting a tank one day when my son was like hey dad I think we need to go to a spot with more pizazz. Right then a BIG muley crossed the road down from us and we set up. He ran into some cows and I thought they scared him off so we went in pursuit. I told Caliche to stay in the truck and wait. It never panned out. When we got to the truck Caliche was like, Dad while you were gone a really big buck came and got water. Oof, I'm never gonna forget that one. On my daughter's hunt we did the same. Had a very nice coues come to water but we were after a muley so passed on him. I'll send you pins on both tanks. -
Clearly the guy on the left has all the talent

Anyone in the remediation biz? Can I pick your brain?
CatfishKev replied to CatfishKev's topic in The Campfire
Mold. We already replaced roof. Gotta go in and rip out the rock, insulation mold etc before we can bid on redoing the interior. -
Awe man, yes i'm an idiot. I got you confused with another guy. So.... thanks for nothing Curtis! @My Rights As An American thanks... Not sure how I got that one wrong. Probably the drinks were a factor.

I think this guy's cactus was a bit of a fluke. Gets shade most of the day maybe that's why they were so early. Driving around town most don't look ready yet.
