So like 8 year olds should be able to buy guns? I was camping 1/2 mile from the house and carrying a shot gun at 8. First .22 at 5 (I still have it) hunting birds alone at 10. So is it age that determines gun ownership or is it proper up bringing? But did you buy it? NO. Some adult figured you were competent enough to do so right? When me and my wife leave the house I leave a loaded 380 or 9 with my son with instructions for a worse case scenario. I determined I trust him in this situation. When I'm home it's back in my control. Do I think he should be able to go out and buy one now? Heck no. But at 18 I'm fine with it with some sort of screening. I think you guys are misunderstanding coach's point. It's not about the age as much as making sure the person is competent.

There are company's that reglaze tubs but it must be done correctly. I've heard even when done right it chips and flakes anyways.

I don't think less than 21 year olds shouldn't be able to own and carry but making sure they are fit to do so is fine with me.

My 10 year old will be shooting a 243 this year for elk. That's the starter rifle for the house. I have no reservations about it. I think high quality ammo is key, and of course shot placement.

My problem is more with the furnace trying to start up. Does a capacitor start the blower going or is it a relay? I can see what looks like a relay which is clicking in sync with the thumping

So I got a 243 rem 700. As long as spacing is 6.75 I'd be good to go right? The 788 is the same as the 700 except for the plastic trigger guard?
