Been watching CL. Have seen some good deals. The ascends are nice, my buddy showed me his I just wanna stay with 10' so I can throw a few in the back of the truck without a bunch of hassle. Those peddle yaks are sweet but $2k for a kayak??? Been watching some mod videos of the cheaper ones that people have set up pretty nice. Mbiewer what made you go sit in vs on top? I'm told the sit ins are more dangerous because they can sink but I don't know from experience. I've never been on one.

This is what I would like to hear more about. I believe it was prop 109 that was suppose to make that happen but failed. Why did it fail? What could be changed to improve it so that it could pass? How does someone go about bringing that back? Hire a lobbyist? Googles generic answer says a lobbyist costs $5K-$25K a month. Could hunters raise that kind of cash? And for how long? It seems like the goal right now is to drop $250K to hire this ballot initiative company every time the HSUS comes back. Why not drop that money on legislation instead and be done with it. Yeah I don't understand why a bill couldn't be introduced to make laws that effect game to only be made by game and fish? I have no idea how state government works does anyone have insight on how this process would start?

Brand new babies are usually kind of ugly, not her though. Congrats on a beautiful little girl. However my condolences on her being an Aires. My 2 youngest are and they are the most hard headed strongest willed kids I've ever seen. Nothing at all like the first 3 kids we've had. That being said my youngest just turned 2 a couple days age and she's got me wrapped around her little finger.

Maybe put dates of the actual show. Just a thought. That way us dudes can tell our wives about it and they can cluck about it at the next clucking circle or on cluck book.

So it looks like we've decided on sticking local to RP. Lobos will be put off til a future trip. Going to follow advice of biglakejake and couesepursuit from another thread. We're gonna target the triggers and bass to the southwest of competition hill. What type of rigs and hook size should we use? I was thinking a number 6 baitholder with a castabubble set up like a Carolina rig. Any suggestions are welcome. I'd also like any advice on flounder rigs and where to target them from shore.

So what's the point of buying them? What do you do afterwards with them? Just keep them to stare at or try and find places to sell them to that make stuff out of them? Just wondering.

Looks like all the rp threads say March and April are the best. Is the fishing still good early may? Would we be better off on a day trip in lobos? If I could catch triggers all day I'd be happy. If I could catch yellowtail or grouper I'd be even happier.

You could do a hand full of kits for less then that. Palmetto state has cheap builds and you could upgrade some of the parts.
