I think considering the cost an SUV is the best. I have a lifted expedition that has taken me places meant only for side by sides. I put a new motor in it and know I can't get that money back. So it became the hunting truck. I can how pull the camper with it and then use it As my hunting rig. It's very freeing to have a vehicle that you don't care if it gets dinged up. Having heat when it's 8degrees out is also nice. Utvs look cool and are fun but they are overpriced and I'm not into freezing and eating dust. Fyi there was a nice 4runner in the classifieds.

Have you thought about a basstube or bazooka? They put out surprisingly decent sound.

Thanks to you guys weve been killing it on stockers. Ive been gutting them and putting about 6 or 7 with heads and some without in freezer bags and putting some water in and squeezing the air out and throwing in the freezer. What do you do and how long does it keep?

What's the deal with Alamo. Why are they taking water out?

Got pre approved for a new family vehicle. Looking for suburban or yukon in the 2007-2011 range. 3 questions. 1. Is it a bad time to buy a vehicle at tax time? 2. What are the things I should be looking for as warning signs on these particular vehicles? I saw a video saying to listen for ticking on the top end, rusty manifold and sludge in the coolant reservoir. 3. Any mechanics you all recomend in Tucson or the valley that would take a vehicle on short notice for an inspection? Thanks

Found a nice truck I'm gonna look at. What are your guys experience with non working cruise control. That's one of the only issues. Otherwise very clean in and out.

Active lifter is like the displacement on demand thru did it for fuel economy it shuts off lifters so it runs on only 4 cylinders at cruise. And I believe most of the gm v8s after 07 have it. Ahh ok, thats what dude in the video was talking about as the tick on the top end to look out for. This was the only video I could find on what to look out for. So since they all have it can you do something to avoid them failing like turn it off or is it automatic?
