So we're good on trout now. Tell me all about your favorite crappie lures, tackle, time of year etc. Saw guys at Pattagonia this week catching fish nonstop while I was trying to catch bluegill for flathead for the evening. Gonna take the fam Sunday and give it a whirl. Also, how would you compare them to bluegill or trout as far as table fare. Why is it they have no bag limit?

Putting feelers out for a used heavy-duty sprayer. Something similar to a graco mark 4 or 5. 5900, 7900 etc. Basically something that can run a lot of paint through it and also spray roof coatings. If it can handle texture that would be a plus. Thanks

if someone wants to destroy their truck to get an elk have at it. Doesn't take much to prove your vehicle hit an elk or not. Agree 100% but you know some moron would do it.

While I hate the idea of wasted meat and would also probably do the finishing off, I can still see game and fish perspective on it. If they granted salvage tags easily there would probably be a lot more "uh, I just hit an elk with my truck" calls. Sounds stupid but im sure it would happen. Of course if they could streamline the process and grant them over the phone with exact location and prove it was hit by a car through some other law enforcement agency and or a mandatory check in Of the animal that might be the happy medium. I'd be happy to bring evidence in if I was able to keep it.

I bought an $8 grub kit with about 8 heads and assorted colors. Right away it seemed to me they did not spin properly and im pretty sure i rigged it right. I suppose thats why people spend the money on the individual berkley or gulp stuff. Saw several mentions of minnows in the other crappie thread. Is that for live minnows or the rubber kind? I'm fishing Patagonia so only shad and bluegill are allowed as far as live bait goes.

The guys I saw catching were casting from shore with bobbers and grub jigs pulling in pretty slow. Seemed effective. Do other fis hit those jigs too?
