The internet is all over the place with advice. Ive read ice is good and that ice is bad. Right now im just using enough water to get all the air out but i don't know if that's good or not..

Who has one and what brand? All the $100 ones on Amazon have there fair share of bad reviews. Cal ranch has an lem cutter is that one decent?
-
I'm tempted by the lem because I can go get one here in SV. But the cabelas version has a wall mount plate that's pretty nice and a wedge cutter as well. Thanks for the replies.

Proposed rule change - no archery hunting in 1/4 mile of residences
CatfishKev replied to TwoGuns's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
This has been brought up before. Stupid rule. Calls for nuisance animals will probably skyrocket. -
Seems like he'd also be one of those Craigslist scammer types. What a schlub.

This guy is a Brit doing a video on processing a small deer. Very different than what most of us do I think. He has several interesting videos with game recipes. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PoawhsmKIEY

Got pre approved for a new family vehicle. Looking for suburban or yukon in the 2007-2011 range. 3 questions. 1. Is it a bad time to buy a vehicle at tax time? 2. What are the things I should be looking for as warning signs on these particular vehicles? I saw a video saying to listen for ticking on the top end, rusty manifold and sludge in the coolant reservoir. 3. Any mechanics you all recomend in Tucson or the valley that would take a vehicle on short notice for an inspection? Thanks

Buying a used suburban or yukon, what to look for?

Found a nice truck I'm gonna look at. What are your guys experience with non working cruise control. That's one of the only issues. Otherwise very clean in and out. -

CatfishKev replied to CatfishKev's topic in The Campfire
Active lifter is like the displacement on demand thru did it for fuel economy it shuts off lifters so it runs on only 4 cylinders at cruise. And I believe most of the gm v8s after 07 have it. Ahh ok, thats what dude in the video was talking about as the tick on the top end to look out for. This was the only video I could find on what to look out for. So since they all have it can you do something to avoid them failing like turn it off or is it automatic? -

How would you look for it? Smoke when you dump on it? -

So would you guys steer clear of it if it has the ticking? Is this the same ticking I mentioned to look out for on the top end? -
If my kid wanted to hunt cows, he's not my kid. You have much to learn grasshopper.

So like 8 year olds should be able to buy guns? I was camping 1/2 mile from the house and carrying a shot gun at 8. First .22 at 5 (I still have it) hunting birds alone at 10. So is it age that determines gun ownership or is it proper up bringing? But did you buy it? NO. Some adult figured you were competent enough to do so right? When me and my wife leave the house I leave a loaded 380 or 9 with my son with instructions for a worse case scenario. I determined I trust him in this situation. When I'm home it's back in my control. Do I think he should be able to go out and buy one now? Heck no. But at 18 I'm fine with it with some sort of screening. I think you guys are misunderstanding coach's point. It's not about the age as much as making sure the person is competent.
-
Yeah but when it's YOUR kids... I love seeing my kids kill stuff, even if it's just squishing ants.
-
I'd rather take my kids hunting with cow tags any day over a bull tag in my pocket. Good luck to you guys.
-
Dude you need to have some kids, you will never feel that way again.

This one's gonna go the distance, I can just feel it.
