All I know is I've been at Rocky point and woke up hella windy with the awning on the roof of the camper and had to go deal with it like at 3am totally hungover. Then again like a total retard that didn't learn the first time had to do it again at patagonia.

First aid kit. Get light cookware etc. Know what the wind is supposed to be doing before you use your awning. You and her practice set up and tear down at least once before you go. Dont overtighten your stabilizers. It's on a frame, just make them snug for support. Keep a few disposable gloves and hand sanitizer underneath with the sewage kit. Last but bot least have a good time and make some babies!

Good for you! Backpacking is a great pastime. If you dont think weight matters, youve never hiked 90 miles in 6 days with all your gear on your back. I hope I never have too! I'm thinking it could be a pretty fun family thing to do together.
