What tag did the wife or I draw?12aw late hunt or 3a3c mule deer
CatfishKev replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Lol, I wish I had your problem dude. -
That sucks dude. In the end though I still think it's fair. Kind of luck of the draw situation right there. I hate to waste meat but if I had a kaibab tag I'm going double shoulder cuz I don't want the sucker to run!

Yeah I got a buddy saying nothing is showing up. Hopefully for those guys it's a weird cc pending charge holding them up.

Thanks guys. The first house was a double wide and we kilzed the walls. Don't know what the Floor guys did and I'm sure ducts weren't cleaned. Buyers backed out on the deal so I'm just trying to troubleshoot. We did another house and it had a slab and I haven't heard any issues. Any recommendations on specific machines to buy? I saw Amazon had a typical range of 100 to 300.

Same here. If you know you'll be able to stay the entire hunt I would backpack in assuming conditions would allow and glass til your eyes bleed.

Probably trying to set the stage to scam guys in the classifieds. Like that porta d ace guy. Improper English is always a clue since a lot of scammers are out of the country and use translation s9ftware I believe.

Looks like my oldest daughter got her first youth deer tag in 23. Middle boy has youth elk tag same time and unit. Nada for the oldest boy so its gonna be leftovers hopefully for him.

They will. My 9 year old has an elk tag sitting on my desk. He passed the online saftey course now just gotta wait for a close field day.

Like I said. Go clean the sand out of your vagina.

Nice! -
That was sarcasm. And I nailed it!

Being sarcastic is in my nature and I use it often. There's a huge difference between sarcastic an downright mean, threatening or intimidating towards others. Now go wash the sand out of your vaginas.

Just organized all the kids stuff and the older twos gear just got handed down to the younger kids. Looking for any merino baselayers and good layering system or even cold bibs type suit. Things that could also serve as lightweight warm backpacking gear. Camofire has some good stuff now but figured I'd check here first. Oh also could use some good hunting boots. My son is 13 yearls old. 5'9" with a 34" waist, 33" chest, and 29" arms My daughter is 15 years old. 5x7" with a 33" waist, 31" chest, 26" arms

Awesome thanks lance. And heat, you are right. He's like a little miniature man already! Man time flies. -
Just got a few pairs of men and women's merino socks off Sierra trading post. Closeouts so selection wasn't great but you can't beat 3-5$ per pair.

Also interested in what lines y'all have had success with when ordering online. Bump. -
Desertbulls post got me thinking about all the gear I need that I don't have (especially for 3 people). Watched a bunch of videos the last 2 days on gear on a budget. One particular video by a YouTube guy called syntex77 (or something close to that). Got me kind of excited for this hunting season! What do you guys recomend for the best bang for your buck when it comes to packs, bags, pads etc. Tents vs bivys? Inflatable pads vs styroafoam type. What have you bought that was a waste that you regret? Anything you can think of lets hear it!
-
See above post... Also what brands have you guys had luck with on Amazon? I want to order baselayers but I'm afraid the sizes won't come in right.

After reading this thread several times and checking out some of the YouTube channels mentioned here is where im at. Syntaxx77 and darwin onthetrail have some great YT videos on camping ultralight on a budget. Used eureka solo tent. Under 3 lbs. $30 Cascade mountain tech carbon fiber trekking poles. 1.5 pounds. $45 Trekology ultralight pillow 2.9oz. $15 Outdoorsmans lab ultralight inflatable pad 15.5oz $42 Thermarest z lite pad. 1.1 pounds. $20 (will combine them when really cold) Aegismax UL envelope goose down bag 1.3 pounds $92 Aegismax UL goose down bag for the kids 15.5 oz $83 So for me I'm at 6 pounds for sleeping system and tent. That's not bad for $200 and it's at least a good starting point. We will see about this $92 bag but darwin onthetrail gave the bag and the outdoorsman pad great reviews. Also very good reviews on Amazon.
