I had a similar concern on a kids draw. She said if I bought the license the system would recognize it and notmspit it out. Just renew the license and you should be good.

Great post. Made me think to myself about distance. Right now I'm not on a trophy kick. It's about spending time with the kids with side benefits of hunting. I couldn't expect my initial distance to spike camp more than 3 miles (If that). I'm with you on first aid as well. If it was me I'd skimp a bit but I'm a worse case scenario thinker and only worse once my kids are in the mix. Given my relative short distance I think I could skimp a bit on tent as far as weight goes. I'm leaning away from bivys to 2 person tents. Joined rokslide but a bit overwhelmed with things out of my comfort zone but all i need is time. Thanks for the post.

I do that to my wife on just about any substrate you could imagine. Floor, truck, toilet, kitchen island. Anything works as long as she pukes in her mouth just a little.

Was your license bought online or in a store. I could be wrong but I think if you buy a license online the system knows and if not you will be ok. Interested in this for clarification. I've heard of people making up license numbers but I would not want to count on that working in a draw.

Yup $ vs weight is what it all comes down to. YT has been great. Already been cruising CL for good used stuff. Think I'm covered on packs and boots for myself. Any recommendations on gear for the kids that's a good value? How would you describe order of importance? 1. Boots 2. Pack 3. Tent 4. Bag 5. Pad or would you say level across the board?
