At least in the contractor work their is a legal recourse with the recovery fund. I don't think they ever get a full reimbursement but at least it's something. Got a buddy down here that lost a lot of cash on a pool. Not sure what he got back if anything at all. I'll ask next time I see him. Not sure if anything similar exists when it comes to mechanics or taxidermy.
