The big gas station at i10 and highway 90 has a rv station pretty sure there would be a hook up. Might have to lay though. More then welcome to fill up at my place in SV but I'm a half hour south of the 10.

Watch some videos on field dressing. Get yourself a tripod and a decent pair of 15s to glass with. Search this site for threads about "glassing". Make sure to read the regs on what's legal and not legal. Make sure you know the difference mule deer, whitetail deer and elk. Not sure how much you know and don't know, maybe offer to tag along on some other members hunts here. You could learn a great deal just by going out with some experienced guys. Good luck.

I'm by far no kaibab expert but I learned a bunch from some of the best guys up there on the last hunt. There are so many does you could try to avoid them and still find them on accident. Whatever idea you have will probably work. But Kanab is north so I'm not sure where you mean.

But the GPS also runs on batteries so isn't it a wash?

There are still plenty of deer up high in the burn. Lots of places to glass from. Plenty in the oaks mid range off the fingers to the west and plenty already dropped onto the flats. A good central place to camp is at the bottom of the 22 road before it starts climbing back up top right there at the 429. I would camp lower just in case it snows.

Yup, go after some whitetails. You will probably find them to be a little more slippery then what you are used to.

Pillowcases are good if you already have extra you don't care about. I did and had my mom stitch them real good but then they didn't get returned to me from the processor. It comes down to buying Anything vs what you already have. You might be able to buy pillowcases dirt cheap from a re use it place or salvation army. But compared to what you can get black ovis for off of camofire I don't think you could make them cheaper. And since you mentioned backpacking, pillowcases will never be lighter then the black ovis. So once you consider the cost to make them vs the weight i say black ovis all the way.
