So unfortunately my oldest daughter is seriously lacking confidence. She won't stand up to her "friends" and allows herself to be a doormat. She's absolutely beautiful, funny and a downright riot to be around, and I'm not saying that just because she's my kid. It's the honest to God truth. So I've come to the conclusion that I need to step in. My wife and I try to boost her up and let her know how great she is and support her but it's just not enough.. So im thinking a boxing or mma type gym or something. Have you had a similar experience? What worked, and what would you recomend.

No, not trying to fight her battles for her and yes I also think she's stronger thinks he thinks. She's an absolute sweetheart and one of the most loving kids I've ever met, she just lets herself be pushed around too much I remember a few years ago visiting my sister back east. My niece has a daughter who is blind. I remember her saying (very sincerely) I wish I could give Alura one of my eyes so that she could see too. It put tears in me and my wife's eyes. I talked with her about some of the places in town, told her whatever she wants to do I will support her. Planning on visiting some of the gyms this week.

As a kid we would chuck rocks towards bats and watch them dive bomb them. One night I nailed one, I blame the bats good aim not mine. It was pretty cool picking one up and feelihg its silky wings and checking out it's teeth. Closest I can relate.

If the meat pack you got is comfortable you might be able to get away with it. Once I can afford it I will probably get a mystery ranch pack. They are known to be comfortable, light and also work as pack frames. You are welcome to use my Dragonfly for your hunt. To give you a comparison the Dragonfly j107 pack is in the 8 to 9 pound range empty, it is a beast when loaded with gear. My team elk pack i think is 6.5 pounds. The higher end packs like mystery ranch are in the 4.5 to 5 pound range.

Strictly confidence isnt what she needs, just part of it. She told me shes scared that not giving in could lead to a physical confrontation shes not sure she could win. Thats mainly my thought process going towards mma, boxing etc. The one gym close to my house does boxing, mma, muy thai and ju jitsu. Im thinking thats the way we may,go. Really considering going to do it with her and even maybe making it a family thing. Actually sounds pretty fun to me.

That sounds like some great teaching. My one word of caution would be never use deer camouflage while hunting during a rifle season. You don't want someone shooting at you thinking you are an actual deer! I think you need to be patient until the next AZ hunt. Full bodies are hard to come by right now. Very interested in seeing more of your posts.

Awesome to see you teaching the next generation. Once upon a time I was gonna be a teacher, then I found out I can't stand other people's children. Now I own a business and I'm essentially a babysitter of grown men. Only marginally better then being a teacher. Unfortunately it's the wrong time of year for your needs, next deer hunt will be in August. So are you basically looking for a hide?
