Is one outfitter having every deer in a unit catalogued by means of trail cameras having lackeys check cams every single night to try and narrow down a particular bucks pattern and direction a non existent problem? Then having guys block roads into an area with several guys on every ridge nearby based on trail camera info? Then several guys walk one guy in via radio to kill a big buck. Is that a non existent problem or do you consider this fair chase? Sure you can argue number 2 and 3 are separate, and you are right. But that's how it is done sometimes. I don't have a problem with cams, I just have a problem with things being abused.

For you guys that missed out here is another good deal. They list these refurbs about once a year. When they are gone they are gone. And yes it is legit. http://aaoptics.com/Refurbished_c_114.html

Why's he look so disappointed?

Just because someone would like to dial back all the high tech just a bit doesn't mean they want to revert back to the stone ages. The tech is getting better and better, the gear and hunters are as well. In the end it means more animals killed or wounded. And possibly a reduction in tags and animal quality. In my opinion a line does need to be drawn somewhere, the problem of course is where do you draw that line. The other problem is how do you get us all to agree?

Don't know about normal migration in 27 but I can tell you there are elk all the way to the bottom end of the unit.

We apparently think alike. We drywall guys call it "shooting texture" or "blowing mud".

Just found out one of my favorite employees and his wife are no longer with us. Two weeks on the heel of hearing one of my other past employees just died of an overdose. They were on their way back to Sierra Vista on I10 last Sunday when a tractor trailer crossed the median and hit them head on and another one it them from behind. His wife Susie died instantly, he was on life support until Wednesday when he passed. There little girl miraculously survived and is in icu in El Paso. Her legs are broken several places and her brain is swollen. It sounds like she's going to make thougn. I can't imagine what it's going to be like for this little sweetheart to have to hear about her parents. Rojo, you were an amazing human being. You will be sorely missed. I will be posting in the prayer request forum for their little girl. Her name is Daisy.

Double header with a can! Very nice sir.

Thanks for the prayers guys. Zack, that is great to hear. I knew they attended the Spanish speaking shiloh and my mom knew about it before me from the other Shiloh church, she just didn't realize the connection to me. It doesn't sound like there will be any amputation so that's good news!

Bob, if I didn't know better I would think that pic of pops in his red and black flanel with a deer hanging next to him was my wife's grandpa. My wifes pap was also a great man. I was more moved at his funeral then I was my own grandpa. As soon as I saw that pic I instantly had a flashback of old "pappy barnett". How many pics of old timers with red flannel shirts are out there do you think? I bet hundresds of thousands.

Especially if you can provide valid reasoning!

Kids threads are always great, or first time hunters. Also the rare deer mule thread. Can someone bring up the cornbagger thread? I've heard it referenced so many times. Also the naturegirl I've heard a bunch of times, what was the deal with her?

Kids and grandkids first. Then friends. Then try to sell.

It's pretty cool because some stuff is on sale plus the discount. -10 sleeping bag for $80 can't be beat.

Packs and clothes as I understand it.

I bet that's a sight to see. Kinda funny, saw it the first year then the next year during monsoon and saw all the brush covered with water on the north side of the lake and ignorantly thought "wow the lakes pretty high". I guess when you don't know you just don't know! I'm pretty stoked to see what it looks like this October.

Nice!
