If you have a tag in that unit what's wrong with it? Especially when most of the unit is semi metro. I like hunting where there are trails and animals are somewhat used to people being around.

Don't knock those viper too hard. They are great glass for what they cost especially when you buy used. I've glassed side by side with Duwane Adams crew when that was the best glass I had at the moment and I was never outglassed. In fact I glassed the herd up that our shooter filled his tag on during the late hunt. I now have the meopta 15s and love them. Love the slc and 12 el, but not enough to spend more money I don't have! I'd really like to look through their new line up myself.

An ethical taxidermist should be very up front about expected turn around time. I know a good one in young thats booked solid for 2 years because he does amazing work. The difference is he tells them up front and they are happy to wait for his quality of work. You should post who the taxidermist is. There was a real similar story on here awhile back.

No not opposed at all to guided hunts. I get that, especially for out of state guys that can't take the time to scout. All I'm saying is, it's a bought head, not a hunted head. I think we can all agree we would feel that a self guided hunt which yields a trophy probably feels a little bit better personally then if you were on a guided hunt. Im not saying theres anything wrong with a guide at all. The only thing that makes me feel ok with this type of hunt is the huge amount of money that goes back to conversation. But still, the dude bought that animal. Cj.. I'm not upset with the guy because he has huge amounts of money to play with. I'm actually happy for him and Congrats on a huge beautiful animal that few would ever even lay eyes on. I'm just saying he bought it.
