Closing the gap in southern units
CatfishKev replied to NewlyMinted's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
Fair assumption, but when I started hunting AZ I literally had no experience. I didn't even know about 15s and tripods, let alone thermal currents. Whats crazy is i started with a bow when you could still kill a doe, and I still came home empty handed. I learned a lot through failure, I look back to my first few years and laugh. I don't regret it though, I learned so much the hard way and I feel it made me a better hunter. -
Closing the gap in southern units

Archery javelina is a great way to get experience as well. If you dont already know about thermal currents look it up. Understanding thermals will help you to keep the wind in your face. -
Look up lots of old threads on glassing. And firt timer threads. Do you have a budget to work with? I highly recomend the tripod and a pair of 15s. There are budget options out there but id get the best you can afford. You can event rent optics for hunts.

They just did the Bison hunter clinic last Saturday. They did mention that they would be changing the hunt structures due to how the weather affected the hunts earlier. They also said that starting in September the park would start the trapping process with their corals. I believe they said the goal would be no more then 50 Head per year relocated. I'm glad I got a tag now. An already once in a lifetime tag is only going to get harder to draw.

I was seriously lost as well. I thought I must have missed a pertinent post. Turns out I didn't I guess.

looking for recommendations for laminate flooring
CatfishKev replied to SpotNStalk's topic in The Campfire
Lifeproof makes a laminate now that is good for all areas including bathrooms. Its 2.99 a foot, looks good and the backer is already on it meaning you don't need underlayment. It can be had for as low as $2.30 I hear. Id recomend it if you have kids or pissy dogs. Color below I think was Watson oak? -
Thought maybe that was the case. Spent my late teens and early adulthood constantly going to punk, metal and hardcore shows. Then I started having kids and that went out the window... How I miss those days. I Did see Rollins with Helmet and Sausage when they played in Philly. Anyways, since you mentioned it's your first deer hunt, do you know how to hunt Coues? Tripod, 12s or 15s etc?

Those powerlines look unsafe!

Head is better, depending on how you handle the meat in the field.
-
I didn't know that mud daubers did that. For a second I thought you were refering to a tarantula hawk.

Congrats on the tag. Henry Rollins fan by chance? Or does black flag have another meaning for you?

I would have no problem cutting the chain

I grabbed a mirror and checked it out. Theres definitely a dark ring. Is that normal?

Did someone say anus?

I love lighted knocks! I'm a bit trigger happy and I've waited til dark more then once to go back and collect arrows. I always run a track on my onxmaps when I'm bowhunting so I can retrace my steps.

So wife's jewelry and cameras is the only non hunting related stuff? Stealing mounts is so random it seems it would be someone who has it out for you personally or someone whom has been in your house before, maybe a friend of a friend. People have such a hard time selling mounts I can't wrap my mind around the purpose of stealing one. Its not like you can go to your local sleazy pawn shop and unload it. Something makes it seem like it was though out, not random. Fishy..
-
The campfire, and or classifieds get the most attention. Dude that sucks, seems like a really random thing to steal from someone. Are you under the impression the mounts were the main target of the theft?
-
Above are correct. It is not termites.

Middlemarch pass goes through the dragoons from sunsites over and through and comes out north of tombstone right near the border patrol checkpoint.
-
Bojangles used to own one, I believe he said he sold it to a guy out of the valley. Are you sucking up to try and score some more hunting time?
-
Accounts and software, both are over my head. But welcome anyways. Looks like you are off to a good start.

I don't know 30b that well. But, there was a video I think posted here somewhere that game and fish had made about access issues and They had interviewed John Ladd Who owns the ranch along the southern border and another rancher off of Davis road both whom allow access. John Ladd ranch I'm not sure if he has whitetail or not it is between Naco and the San Pedro river. The San Pedro has whitetail and Muley but is only archery from highway 92 north to Charleston road. North of Charleston road and south of highway 92. Are open to rifle but not right there at Fairbanks where the ruins are. There is a road that shoots south off of Davis road and one of the ranch roads does give access to the north end of the mule mountians. You can also access the mules from highway 90 near the tunnel at the top of the hill as well. Good luck
