It was 500ish yards so plenty less in impact is expected. To be fair my kids killed 3 cows with 139 grain sst and I'd did the trick just fine. But that was with a 7-08. To be fair hornady makes 147 grain eldms that I think would do just fine for a bull. He drilled it just to keep him from running and dealing with a potential loss.

Tony, I believe that they are the early hunt deer. I think they had 3 clients for the late hunt. 2 were first time hunters and pulled the trigger on the first bucks they liked.
