If you do archery you can get an otc tag and scout it for rifle while you build points. I'd be happy to show you some areas in 35a or 30b. Lots of southern units have a north end with way less traffic.

I'm not so sure. At first look I thought total wolf. Looking closer the ears look more yote but the broad face and fur look like wolf to me. Made me look at the regs. Bottom of face, thickness of legs and markings look wolf to me.

It used to be common to see border patrol with a whole gang of illegals pulled over. I have not seen that in many years. I'm not worried at all about taking my family out camping and I have little ones. Yes there is still traffic but nowhere as bad as it used to be and for the most part they want nothing to do with you anyway. I'm mostly familiar with 30b, 35a and also would not hesitate to go for 35b or the 34s. Not to say any I did not mention would be bad I'm just not familiar with the level of traffic there.

That makes sense. In my head I pictured full grown elk getting killed, which I'm sure does happen but killing calves would have an exponential effect over time. That's scary.

Southern critters are more in to popeyes I bet.
