Assuming one applicant has 0 points and another has 3 would the computer round them down to 1 each or up to 2 each or neither? I'm assuming it wouldn't give them a true 1.5 each so more then likely would be rounded down. Or does it still look at the app as a whole with 3? Thanks

Not gonna lie, that's great advice. Trying to help an out of staters kids get drawn. The 2 kids of mine they will piggy back with are the ones ok with building points to work towards a bull tag so no worries on my end. I just wanna see kids killin chit.

Awesome thanks!

Sorry man didn't see this. Yes 5.4, got it from engines direct, it was a jasper. installed by my buddy who is probably the best tech the Ford dealer has down here. He definately knows his stuff and your free to talk to him since he's done all the work on my rigs. Yes clean title. It switches into 4x4. Bump

Thanks for the response. It appears you are correct. Something I did not know. Always good to learn something.

Well sorry dadof3, Just got off the phone with Dave who runs the youth camp. I would get capped at the 10% which I dont wanna do. That being said still shoot me a text and we can discuss some other options.
-
I didnt think that was the case, but I never had a reason to need to know it. Can someone clarify? The one area I thought there was no cap was for hunts that have leftover tags like southern unit deer hunts.
-
Dadof3, I just checked the regs. For out of state, Youth license is $5. Adult elk tag is $665, youth is $65. Adult deer is $315 and youth is $40. I'll tell you what. I have not put in yet. I'll let you put your kids in with my kids on our apps. Out of state tags are capped at 10% this way your kids will have the same odds as my kids and it really wont negatively effect my kids odds too much. I have 4 kids this year so I know at least elk is going in the freezer. You just Zelle me the costs of the licenses and tags. Here's my cell 520-227-6720 shoot me a text and we can chat later today.

Oh yeah,I forgot about that. And if I remember correctly nonnres youth is still $60. The youth argument is strong.

The ada camp is not unit specific anyone can go. It is centrally located to units 23, 3c, 4a, and 4b. Like I said, deer and elk are the same time. So if one kid scores an elk tag definately put them both in for a deer tag too. Deer tags and elk tags are both before any rifle hunts so the kids have first crack at hunting before the pressure starts. Another thing to consider is a youth elk tag is like $60. If you put your kids in for the regular draw they gotta pay full price which is in the $150 range. And no not antlerless, ANY antlered deer, what's even better is you can kill a muley or a coues. My opinion go all in for the youth hunt. Other factor is youth hunt is during fall break which can be easier for you especially since you are out of state. If neither kid gets drawn then consider putting your kids in the regular draw for Deer in a southern unit where they have a high likelihood of drawing.

Dang auto correct! Tonto Basin!

Good for you dad! Fyi, the draw deadline for elk is February 11th. I'd recommend put the boys in for the cow elk youth hunt. Every year the Arizona deer association puts on a youth elk and deer camp located right on the border of units 3a3c and 23. Also some other units also intersect right close to there. Theres lots of guys around to help out for any new hunters too. The youth elk and deer hunts are at the same time so I would put the boys in for elk then when the deer draw comes put them in for deer in the same unit. There is also another youth camp put on by the muke deer foundation ad well usually held in Toronto basin / pumpkin center area. I think that's unit 22, I haven't done that one myself but I'm sure it's a blast. I think both camps feed the hunters and the hunting party for free on opening day, saturday and sunday for breakfast. It's pretty awesome, lots of giveaways and stuff too. I know 23 pretty well now and can help a bit. Make sure you get them to pass the hunter safety course in the meantime. What are their shooting capabilities?

Wow dude! That rarely happens. Glad it worked out for you. -
Night time is the right time to trade pokemon cards. What else is there after midnight?

They should show now. Not sure unit 10 has an archery cow hunt. Check the regs. 4 points should score you dang near any archery cow hunt though. Since you are new i recommend you stay away from bull hunts until you have some experience in the field. Go kill a cow with your bow, it will be a huge confidence booster. Then start looking at bull tags. Good luck kid.
-
Well lucky you. Archery odds are even better. Here's archery bull
-
Rifle cow odds. You'd be 100% for the early cow rifle hunt. I'd say that's your best bet considering odds of filling the tag.
-
Bull rifle odds. 20% for late hunt. Less then 1% for early hunt. Keep in mind second hunt is tough unless you have lots of experience. I would not recommend it.
