Wife had the sense to get a couple dogs when ours was on her last leg. Theory was to help take the sting out since we knew it we coming. Got a third since then, but dang they just dont measure up to Roxy. It's like I have 2 80% replacements and thirds kind of a total dud but the kids love her. If I get another dog I want a chocolate lab, I love my Boston terriers and they are killers. But I want a dog that is JUST MINE!

That's a beutiful knife. My vote would be for one stout fixed blade knife. Does not need to be pricey, just a cheap sturdy knife to help break a knuckle joint. Second knife would be a replaceable blade knife. Caution on those though, they are razor sharp. I have cut proof cloth gloves I wear when using these. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use replaceable blade knives unless you wear cut gloves and be careful of your pull in direction. A guy on here last year got himself real good in the knee and was fortunate. He ended up getting kind of rescued but it could have been way worse. The thin havelon break easy, I'd go with a thicker one. We got a couple outdoor edge and Berbers I like. Don't xxxx around man. Cut resistant gloves, only like $10

In retrospect I'm irritated with myself I didn't weigh mine. Wish I did though since it was my first ever, also the biggest fish I've ever caught for that matter. When deckhand was cutting them up mine was the biggest of the bunch of 6 or so laying there but I dont know enough to guess weight, also didnt see the other fish caught laying there, i assume he already cut them up. I know what a box of drywall mud weighs and it felt close but I didn't think it was possible. Including belly meat and the collar with the skin still on it was 20 point something pounds of meat. How big was my fish?
