Bummer he wasnt able to get a shot off and kudos to him on passing on the calf. Sounds like there sure was a lot of action though. I'm sure overall it was a cool experience for him. Hopefully he gets another shot for one of the later hunts. So did the dude in fact accidentally shoot a bull?

True, I know hunters and guides keep tabs on animals. I got No problem with that. My issue is staying overnight to keep others off of it if its a water hole. And yeah game and fish defination is a little ambiguous with verbiage of being the only reasanable water source which is a possible loophole. But staying overnite within a quarter mile of water sounds like camping to me... apparently I'm the only one though. Not the first-time I've been told I'm wrong. Of course if Blake really was a mile away there's no issue, but I find it hard to believe his presence one mile away would be enough to keep a guide off the spot.

Well I dont camp next to water and watch an animal in shifts to keep others off of it. And I definately wouldnt if my hunting privileges were revoked. Falling asleep in a blind is far different imo.

A recent text from a forum member reminded me of this post so I had to come back and find it. Sleeping on a knoll so no one else can hunt a water hole hmmmm. Sounds like camping within a quarter mile of a water source. Coulda sworn that was illegal.

Gonna take a several mile hike, high up in an area that holds some big bucks. We can play rock paper scizzors for first shot if we come across only one buck. But anything less then the 90" range im gonna pass on anyways. Dont need to leave my place before 11am. Theres a spot where i hope to catch them milling around just off the trails about mid day. Oh, and also a chance at some edible mushrooms!

Yeah the only bummer is knowing 35a in and out and starting over in a new area. Not only one but so many units to choose from. Not even sure which units to focus on.

Miller peak wilderness

Had a forum member join me. Had this little fox checking us out on the way up. Bumped a couple bucks halfway up, passed on the forky and never got a good look at the other one. Does and fawns and miles rest of the day. Had a great buck at 30 yards near dark on the way back. If he only stood still for just a few more seconds Beutiful views up top
