My MR terraframe also came in. Crazy this packnis just five pounds. Like you said, feels like nothing compared to the Cadillac Deville i was carrying around. Next light purchase is gonna be a tripod upgrade.

Dude, just stop. -
Make sure he does the online hunter safety course and have a printed out certificate. My youngest boy just turned 10 this year as well, just finished the course and was worried about the field day. Thanks to these guys here I found out it was waived this year but keep the cert on you. I'll post a pic of our rifle set up later. Short version, triclawps with a primo trigger stick bipod on the butstock. Almost as stable as shooting prone

New idea for point crybabies. Get a loyaly point every five years. A tiny step toward squaring points for hunts that have 2 draws per year and a slight benefit for those who apply for cool stuff like strip or sheep.... Opinions?
-
Great question here... To be clear... you can build two bonus points per year for bison much like turkey right?
-
Haha, thanks for the heads up

Oops, showed wrong pic

Ahh, yeah that was the one -
Its tough to find one for us tall guys thats not super pricey. I started with vanguard 264Ao. Great for the $150 and comes with a halfway decent head. I upgraded the heads to the benro S2 and im still running the same tripods. Honestly thks tripod definitely falls in the best bang for the $ category. But I'm now looking for a backpacking CF tripod. I'm not sure if I go just wanna get one that I know I will have to sit with and just shave the extra weight or Still get one I can stand with. Going lighter and taller at the same time has the backdoor weakness off being less stable in the wind and picking up more vibration from the wind. I'm kind of torn honestly. I've got a couple, you are welcome to borrow one sometime just to see if it works for you.

Good luck. Im mentally attributing my situation to the big body and mass of the animal, but 2 broke off is suspect to me. Hopefully I'll get a chance at something else smaller before end of year

How tall are you and do you wanna stand to glass. Seems height is the limitation.

Looks less interesting then I imagined. I was kind of hoping it was a suppository

Didn't feel comfortable talking behind your back and you seeing what we were saying.

Been pondering the switch myself for the family rifles. I was on the fence honestly. Then a post came up awhile ago where I believe it was mattsy said he comes across eagles a lot with lead poisoning in his line of work, made me think maybe it's not just a lib angle. Wish I remembered the thread though. Then cousedeerhntr who had the cow buff hunt right before mine killed with Barnes, perfect expansion. If we are really conservationists I certainly think copper is worth a try. -
Just from the group text. I got 12 minutes to ruin some threads here now.
