Not a BF deal per sey, but a great gift idea for a dude that carries a Leatherman. I will say that I love mine but if you're laying on the ground and using your Leatherman be careful not to roll over on this thing because it will bend it up.https://www.raegearusa.com/product-page/charge

My buddy owns a shop, he's a great dude and pays better then average for the area and still charges less then most other shops and simply takes a smaller cut for the business. But potential candidates need to know their stuff. He wants good dudes not turds. Pm me and I will put you in contact.

Any mechanics looking for a job? In Sierra Vista..
CatfishKev replied to CatfishKev's topic in The Campfire
Also if anybody knows somebody that's maybe retired or semi retired that wants to work a few hours as an office guy could be helpful too. They would need experience with vehicles so that he could free up some time and let him get in the shop and turn some wrenches himself. Not full time probably but could be good for the right guy. Just enough hours to let him out in the shop and make the company some money -

They are such cool animals, hands down my #1 bucket list hunt. I'm honestly surprised it lasted that long knowing that it could have been killed at any point

This is gonna start becoming the new normal all across the state I bet. We all see it, people and hunters leaving trash and gates open it's only gonna get worse unfortunately.

Agreed, having the bros there definitely makes it a go on mounting I think. Fred, what was the bet? After your bro is done wearing the hat of shame I would probably put it on that buck. Great memories! -

Very cool! Congrats man. Unless you got a bunch way bigger I'd mount it. Or also for the sentimental value also -

Tried a couple double hook rigs this past weekend (flathead fishing) and never had much luck with them. I noticed my bluegills were dyeing pretty fast compared to 90% of my fishing with one hook. I'm thinking the lines are getting twisted too much by the time they hit the bottom leaving the live bait no room to move around and breathe. I'm thinking about a new set up with a super short line bait close to the swivel where the slide sinker is and leaving the main leader 18-24" for the live bluegill. I'm thinking the dead bait short line will still leave enough for a fish to grab it and not feel the weight while the live bait can swim a bit and stay more lively. I've always pretty much always done single hook per rod because of this just wondering what y'all might have to interject. Thanks

Ended up doing a leader with a t loop close to the top so I can add or remove the second hook. Been a long time since we've been fishing, tied my Palomar wrong and lost the first fish but we got the kinks worked out past few weekends. Last nite was our best night. All my kids have now caught their own flatheads. Last night 2 nice channels and 2 flattys
