hello, I drew a late muzzy bull tag in 3b, I am driving up tommorow from los angeles to do some scouting and get a lay of the land. I only have a few days. I have never hunted elk before any tips or advice for scouting, this will possibly be the only time i get to go before the hunt, thanx in advance

My 13 yo son gannons first mule deer

I also happened to shoot my very first mule deer the following week. Souther Cali desert muley I had scouted him earlier and found him opening morning, lucky!!!!!! plus i was hunting solo, made for an awesome experience.

To all those who replied, thank you!!!! I have a dillema i had planned on scouting again in August but my plans changed i drew a so cal mule deer hunt in October and i think I might scout that instead and lastly my cc got hit for Az mule deer, kaibab archery was my first and 19b rifle was my second. I only had one point so waiting on results 😬😬😬 If i did not draw kaibab i still have a week in August to scout either 3b for my late muzzy or so cal deer... any thoughts???

Dont mean to hijack, but i have a d17 tag... scouted once saw 4 does. I was going to put some serious time into it, but my cc got hit for Az!!!! And now my priorities change, any tips on hunting this unit, i was thinking north of 15 near clarke mountain or mid hills where i saw deer
