Never used the swaro stud, so I can't help you there, but I've used the outdoorsmans for the past 5-6 years and I love it, it's quick and secure/solid. I guess if you have to invest another $100+ to switch, is just keep what you have and talk to the guy that has a swarovski receiver stud.

The stud I believe is $16, and the short adapter works on all size of binos I had a pair of swaro 15x56 and it worked just fine. But if you have EL's you'll have to get them to outdoorsmans on a Thursday, they send them out to insert the stud and you get them the fallowing Thursday.
