This is my girl with her first deer. An Axis from my cousins ranch The second is just a great pic

I have my old PSE bow it is in good shape. Would be great for bowfishing or a starter bow. It is set at 29 inches and 70 pounds. It also comes with about a dozen arrows. I figure its prolly worth 100 bucks. Anyone interested let me know.

Got family there. We acctually didnt even see a deer the whole weekend. But still beats workin.

I am leaving for Michigan wednesday to go archery hunting. Taking my girl friend I am hoping she will got to shoot this big ten point thats been running around the property. Will be fun for sure though.

Since there is so many people who shot deer I thought I would post this to everyone who filled a tag this past hunt.

Last year was at 200 this years was at 315. I do practice long shots but prefer not to shoot from long distances.

Hey they are all trophys my friend. Its like my dad always says it aint about the catching its about hte fishing.

So my hunt started out good. I saw lots of deer first thing in the morning and I knew it was a good sign. I saw a few bucks a few doe. Well little did I know what the evening would bring. In the evening I decided to sit a water tank that had a lot of sign around it. Well I had been sitting and glassing for about 3 hours when I finnally saw a deer. It was about 5 o'clock. It was a doe and I decided I would take a picture of it for my girlfriend. Well I reach down in my pack and pulled out the cam found the "doe" where it just had come over the hill and took a pic. Then I relized after I put the binos back on the deer that it wasnt the same deer. I couldnt tell, yet, if it had antlers because its head was down grazing. Well after about a minute of standing 100 yards a way broadside the deer lifted HIS head and revealed the biggest rack I have ever seen in person. A wide fat 4x4 so I put my glass down and grab my gun and just as I get my gun on him he walked over the ridge. Well by this time its almost to late to shoot so I decide to try and make it around the back of the ridge quickly to see if I could get a shot off. Well I guess I should have been quikly and QUIETLY because I got to the other side just in time to see him running off into the distance. Then saturday I decided to shoot a smaller deer out of frustration. Well atleast I got some good meat in the freezer. And A great story to tell. Hopfully nobody gets himm and I can find him next year. If I get drawn F&^%^&G arizona. Any way it was a 3x2 that I ended up shooting. I will get pics up when I can. I am vary happy that I got to harvest a coues. And I feel vary lucky just to have seen a huge deer like that just upset with myself for not paying closer attention to what was going on. I am always thankful for the oppertunity to take any kind of game from birds to elk.

I saw a doe this weekend that would prolly push 160 or maybe more reminded me of the big does in tx. It was definatly a white tail though.

The sad reality is that no matter how many of us get involved there isnt much we can do. The media, usually , sides with the greens ,and even if the greens are not the majority we are out numberd by the people who dont care who have been persuaded by the media. Its a tough battle. If we all fight though we definatly stand a better chance then if we dont.
