Kansas is funny here on our property. I was wearing what you see in the pics. I was checking on some feeders and a group of toms came walking past me in the creek bottom. Grabbed the 20 gauge and threw a pheasant load in. Rest is history. Not really an exciting hunt but whatever.

Cholla takes a toll on dogs even if you pull them out. It starts wearing on a dog over time.

They said quail was going to be on fire this year in Kansas but I've came across one covey only so far.

Wife and I shot a limit of pheasant today and a couple bobwhites.

Size is relatively close to the Dakota's. Just a tad smaller in these parts I'd say. We have a lot of pheasant here.
