Opening Day Success
CouesUnlimited replied to CouesUnlimited's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
We had seen this deer in velvet while scouting so we decided to go after him on opening day. We left early that friday and we got there well before sunlight. We found him pretty quick, then he bedded down. We put the stock on him and got 286 yards away. But we didn't have a shot so we had to wait for him to move and we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes and finally he stood up and we shot him. I give all the glory to GOD and thank HIM for everything. They actually cross each other here is another pic. -
Can you possibly post some pics.

That is so very true. A pastor at my church once said that we must look to the LORD for a relationship and not so much religon. We wil live and go on with our lives with a relationship with the LORD and not so concerned about religion.

Do you read your Bilbe daily. I try to, but not nearly hard enough. I need to read more. Here is a little something someone sent me it made me think...... Cell Phone vs. Bible I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones. What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it What if we flipped through it several times a day What if we used it to receive messages from the text What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it What if we gave it to kids as gifts What if we used it as we traveled What if we used it in case of an emergency What if we upgraded it to get the latest version Its just something to think about I'm not in anyway trying to make is a Christian or religious discussion forum I just noticed this topic and felt like I should share this with you all. I also agree that prayer is powerfull.

For the past 8 or so years I used a Win .243 and it had gotten my brother and I many many deer, but it was my dad's friends rifle. We used it b/c my dad's .264 Win mag was too much for us when we started huntiing when we were younger. But I have upgraded to 300 Win Short Mag. I have gone to the range acouple of times and found it's sweet spot. It can really reach out and touch them targets, but I feel more comfortable with the old faithful .243. I guess it will just take some more trips to the range and a couple deer to get that same feeling.

A good day

Everyday that my Dad and I go out scouting or hunting is a good day reguardless of the outcome. Hopefully this year will be especially good when we drop the hammer on a Monster!!! -
I am not positive, but pretty sure that when the issue of double riding on quads arises the rule is that in order to ride two people on the quad, it must be a two preson quad. They determine this by the overall length of the quad. This is true at least for riding at the dunes and state trust land. Good luck some times the laws aren't exactly as clear as they should be.

Nice pics. When I take pictures, I just zoom through my binoculars with the camera and it seems to work just fine if you are still and have the right angle. -
I have athe same problem, sportsmen says they have something with velcro but they are all out. Try on-line.
