    2016 Antelope

Shoot what looks good to you, score is over rated! Get ready for chaos when the hunt starts. There's a lot of people on that hunt.
  2. Selling a brand new Core4 Element Summit packable jacket in Mountain Mimicry camo. Size XL. It's a very lightweight outer layer that can be packed down in an included small bag and kept in your pack until you need it. Very good for staying warm when glassing. I'll throw in a new matching Core4 Element Selway beanie in MM camo if you want. Asking $105 shipped. Paid $150 for it and $30 for the beanie earlier this year. The company has discountinued making products in this camo pattern. Here is info from the company: For an all around cold weather jacket the Core4element Summit Jacket is tough to beat. It sets a whole new standard for lightweight synthetic jackets. Core4element uses the highest grade, most efficient, Primaloft One insulation. Primaloft One is 92% efficient dry and 90% efficient wet making it the highest performing insulation in the wettest of weather. The Summit Jacket is extremely compressible so finding a place for it your pack is easy. Primaloft One is highly breathable, highly water resistant and very compressible. To make it more efficient, Core4element body map it with 90 gram Primaloft One insulation on the shoulders and the core of the jacket and with 60 gram Primaloft One insulation under the arms and the center of the back. From the high alpine basins to the cold nights in the desert the Core4element Summit Jacket will keep you warm.
  3. Brand new 100% merino wool 1/4 zip shirt. XL. Works as an outside layer or moisture wicking mid layer. Discontinued camo pattern so very hard to find. $50 tyd. Specific info: The 2590 1/4 Merino Wool Midweight Base Layer Top takes the concept of layering to the next level. Rather than just build a standard midweight base layer shirt, Core4Element mapped the 2590 for better breathability, warmth and cooling over a wider range of temperatures. Built with 250 gram weight merino wool through the shoulders, down the arms and in the front of the torso ensures added warmth to areas where you need it. The 190 gram weight merino is mapped to the under arms, down the sides and along the back where you traditionally sweat more and don't need added warmth but need to expel heat and wick moisture. The first hybrid merino base layer in the hunting world is ideal for any active hunt where you can expect a wide range of temperatures. Layer up with the 2590 merino 1/4 Zip from Core4Element and start your hunt ahead of the pack.

  9. I wouldn't normally ask this type of question, but since sheep tags are once in a lifetime and very limited, I thought I would throw it out there in hopes nobody gets upset and maybe I can get some thoughts, opinions or information from people that know more than I do about sheep units. I know there's tons of factors that could be asked, but I'll go general with some background. 1. I have 22 points and a resident. 2. Score isn't the most important, but generally hoping for mid 160's. 3. I generally prefer the look of a heavy horned ram over length, but with that said would go for quality of hunt over specific sub species look. 4. A unit with decent access would allow me more hunt time than a spike camp type hunt due to logistics and lack of help. So with that info, should I be putting in for desert or rocky and what units may fit what I am hoping for? Thanks for your educated input.

    Unit to apply for thoughts?

Kaffer62, Not totally picky but generally would say I like the tighter curl mexicana specie more. Don, I have heard that people are still seeing nice rams in those units as of the last few weeks and nobody is seeing dead sheep lying around, including aerial surveys? Any more info on your end?
  11. Going to buy either a Nightforce 5-20x56 SHV or a Zeiss 5-25x50 Conquest for hunting. Price is close between them. Which is the better LR scope? Thanks.
