I know that this thread is a little old, but I'm curious as to what you ended up going with Hoss50? I've been looking recently at the same scope, but I'm trying to decide between the 4-16x50 and the 6-24x50.

I really like my Vortex Viper 15x50. Are there better options out there, yes. It comes down to what will work best for you, only you can decide that. Just like with everything else, rifle, caliber, packs, etc... Are you a veteran or active duty by chance?
