Glassed up a group of bucks 30 min after sun up. Got within 400yds. Had a decent buck in my scope ready to shoot and then this one rushed out. Dropped him when he stopped walking. Perfect shot placement. Buck has 16in spread.

Anyone been down on the road to the east fork past fossil springs? Just wondering how deep the river is? Is it crossable?

we drew 4 of those tags all on our 5th choice! i guess better than nothing. Im planning on spending the first few days chasing cows and trying to fill our tags. This is going to be a very hard hunt considering all the hunting pressure before this cow hunt. You might have little opportunity for glassing. Im sure the elk will be pushed back into the thick timber and probly water at night. If you hike alot you will eventually run into them.

I drew a 21 WT oct. Tag. Tried my moms but it keeps saying her Sportsmans id is not valid. Had $$ taken out of her account last week. A few other guys had the same problem. Anyone know what the deal is?

anyone else put in for one of the early rifle bull tags? How good would you consider this hunt (size and qty of bulls)? will the bulls still be active during the later oct 12 hunt?

We got 4 of the latest peaks cow hunts ahah! was our 5th choice. too bad we didnt get a bull tag. Here are my bull and my moms bull from the 2011 late 7e bull hunt. If you know what your doing in 7e you can get a decent bull. I dont care what hunt or what time it is, there are bulls in there but you have to work really hard for them.
