Thanks, It felt like cheating. I've been hunting coues so long that I couldn't believe the size of the kill zone. We sure had a good time watching him, all through the Fall. But the hunt sure was short. I was sure other hunters would be in the area and make us change our plan, but we saw no other hunters in the area. I felt like I had one heck of a lucky day. I have to thank Kris, Jay, and Ryan for all the help. The country we thought he would be in was so rugged, that the guys were sure we would be in for a long haul. But we found him where we got the vehicle real close.

I stay away from that area as much as possible, because of the way the public is treated. Earl Stewart should have a price put on his head. As far as I am concerned he has appointed himself dictator supreme. I put up a ground blind several years ago in the Coconino forest, went back to camp for lunch and the next morning there was a red tag on it stating, if I didn't remove it that day it would be considered abandoned, and be confiscated. I haven't hunted there since. The whole country will be this way unless we revolt. This is not a democrat or republican thing. This has been going on for years. Unchecked power. Everyone needs to write the white house and their senators, and their congressmen. This is getting worse year after year. This is our National Forest, and we need to take it back.

I took these photos 2 weeks ago. There were 13 bulls feeding in the field.

Dirty tactics once again from the AZGFD! Now you'll know why to never trust them
hawkeye replied to bonecollector777's topic in The Campfire
It's not even about this situation to me. It's more about what the AZGFD has become. I have never knowingly violated any game laws and have always tried to help the officers any time I could. I have even called and reported game violations. NOT ANY MORE. These last few years have taught me to mind my business, and not get involved. I will never help the AZGFD and would go as far as leaving one broken down or stuck in the mud. They have created an atmosphere of US against THEM. And everyone is breaking some kind of law in their mind. I feel for the few AZGFD employees that are truly good people, but you are working for a corrupt dept. The dept. answers to nobody and can do what they want. Absolute power will corrupt the best of intentions. -
Dirty tactics once again from the AZGFD! Now you'll know why to never trust them
hawkeye replied to bonecollector777's topic in The Campfire
What I can't understand is, why is everyone surprised? From my 58 years of living and hunting in Arizona, I have seen the AZGFD go from a wildlife conservation Dept. to a big money machine. Corrupt at every level, and without any moral mind set. The whole thing stinks and the head of the snake is the Governor. She is the one who appoints the corrupt lot. Everyone is against voting for our commissioners, but until there is some kind of checks and balance brought to the Dept. it will just continue to grow out of control. I myself have had enough, and am going to retire to a state with a hunter friendly environment. I realize nothing is perfect but I am tired of the fight. -
Great scope. I have one on my Tika 300 win mag. and I have one on my Sendaro 300 ultra mag. I have tried every kind of scope and brand. I don't think you can find a better long range scope for the money.

I don't trust AZGF or the banks. I send mine in the old fashion way. If you are serious about getting drawn that is the least likely way of getting screwed. I didn't say that the AZGFD couldn't screw things up but that takes the bank out of the picture. I make a copy of all applications before sending them in also.

hawkeye replied to hawkeye's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I hear you, but don't get believe everything you are told. There are a lot of Republicans going along with gun registration and letting Obama take the heat. Both men who ran against him are for gun registration. It is going to happen, but it will be a cold day in heck when I comply. -
I've hunted there a few times. The last time I stood in line for 5 hours and left without a tag. I will never go through that crpp again. I won't jump through their hoops again, but there are plenty of people who will. It's a very good hunt, but for the money and hasle to get the tag I started hunting other states and have had a heck of a lot more fun. I would probably hunt there again if they went to a draw or something, but I will not stand in line all night just to watch the reservation guides come in just before you and buy up all of the tags.

Outcome of the Game & Fish meeting today????
hawkeye replied to AZLance's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I've been hunting in Arizona for almost 50 years. I used to respect and try and help Game and Fish when ever I could. For the last 15 years I have been telling people how it's changed into a money grubbin anti hunting bunch of maggots. I can't hardly stand talking to any of them. I used to go the the meetings and finally figured out I was beating my head against a wall. It is a little too late but everyone is finally seeing the truth. They could give a rats a$$ about you or the game or fish in this state. All they care about is making more jobs for themselves. I hate them as much as I hate their wolves. Oh by the way I don't bait, but for the Game and Fish to dictate this crppp without a single case of cwd just proves the contempt they have for the people who pay them. I wish everyone would not hunt for just one year. But good luck with that. I have started spending my money in other states I wish everyone would. -
Another run on firearms, ammo, and high capacity mags?
hawkeye replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
The guns and ammo industry loves all of this paranoia. The only thing I saw change 4 years ago was that guns and ammunition prices were raised by 50%. Feeding the frenzy. After this run on guns and ammo they will take their time in re-stocking to create a sense of shortage, and the price will rise another 30%. -
Michigan tells Unions to back off
hawkeye replied to DesertBull's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Like I said, until the milk dries, from around your lips and you actually have experienced life, quit spouting crap you know nothing about. Uninformed opionions are stupid opinions. The only thing you know, is what you have been told to know. By people and organizations that want you to know. I can tell by the number of posts you make that everything you know in life has probably come from TV or the internet. -

You are no different than the other ignorant people stating facts they think they know. Why didn't you mention the millions of dollars in bonuses the Hostess upper mangement recieved just before going bankrupt. Don't start spouting crap unless you have all the facts. Why didn't you mention the last four years the union took pay cuts to help the company. When your nads drop then I'll take your opinion seriously. -

The union has always known. If you get a card you either sign it or throw it away. Thats what they are. They are a sort of petition to form a union. There isn't even a vote now without the union knowing who signed the cards. So you don't even know how it works. If the majority of workers sign the card the cards are sent to the labor board to review if the signed cards are legit', So no matter what, the union and national labor relations board knows. They have always known. That is why the cards go to the NLRB. And that is who certifies the results. Not the union or the Company. This system was used to keep employers from firing people they knew were pro union. I know this fly's in the face of your conspiracy theory but that is the way it has always been. The news and Multi Billion dollar anti union campaign like to use a play on words to get reactions from people that don't even know how the system works. And it worked on you. Big money had enough votes in congress several years back to apply this secret ballot thing in, so it would give them time to react and try to persuade workers to change their minds and not vote yes. The cards were signed and that used to be enough. It always helps to know the facts before believing either side of a political arguement. I agree given face value of what is said in the article, it sounds like its some big conspiracy to find out how people voted. Slanting a view. Imagine that. Yes you are right it is a play on words. and no. The union and company do not get to see who signed the cards only the union does. If you don't want a union you just don't turn in a card. It is as simple as signing a petition. You either do, or you don't. -

hawkeye replied to DesertBull's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I really like the wording in your anti union literature. But I am sorry that you missed the point. They want to do away with the vote all together. Like it used to be. If the majority of workers signed the card that was enough. It's all about the wording and the typical anti press. As it is now a majority has to sign cards to even move to the secret vote. So it is redundant. If the majority signed cards then why move ahead with a secret vote. Employers put that in so they could organize threats and intimidation after they found out about the forming of the union. You really should study more about this. -

Desert Bull, You might be right but speaking from experience no matter what you think you know neither does the company. They both want to know how you voted and I guarantee if the employer found out you voted union you would be gone within a year. The unions were the ones who got the secret vote established so the employer couldn't retaliate, if he found out a worker supported the union. Where in the heck did you get this crap that the unions wanted to do away with the secret voting. And don't tell me TV. -

I know a guy that knows a guy that knows a cousin of a guy. I did all of my contracting work for the mines all over Arizona and I call B.S. There is not one guy that his sole job is cleaning up that gets 20 bucks an hour, I had over 20 electricians working at the mines and they were getting 20 bucks an hour and I was paying them more than the mine electricians. -

Desert Bull, that just re-enforces what I said. No personal experience just what the media tells you and what you have been told to believe. What are those videos supposed to do? Let me know that there are bad people doing bad things in the world. I don't have enough time in the day to post anti-worker crap that corporations pull. I will just say this last thing. The only thing that posting crap like this does on a hunting forum does is divide the hunting community. I will never convince you that unions as a whole are good for the working people, and you will never convince me to work scab. I hate like heck the policies of far left Democrates and i hate just as much policies of the far right. The whole problem with our country now is there is no middle ground. If you don't agree with me then I hate you attitude, and if you don't agree with me you are wrong. sorry to ruffle so many feathers. -

Once again. pur crap. where are you getting this? You don't think companies want to know how their people vote. Talk about intimidation. Where do you get this union thugs? Oh yea Fox tv. You only know what they want you to know. get a brain and use it.
