    Computer/Draw Glitch

I don't trust these morons as far as I could throw them. I tried to apply online and had the same problem. I just canceled the process and will fill out a paper app. and take it down myself. I bought my license over the counter and now the online process won't let me update the new license info.

Wife held out for a nice bull

After passing on a few smaller bulls, On day 3 Kay decided this was the one. At 43 yards she let one go, and it found its mark. The Montec CT did its job. I am really proud of her.

    Found dead bull in 4b

The last tag I had, I shot a 330 340 bull and hit it a little high. I was tracking it and a lightning storm sent me to my truck. Hours later when I resumed my tracking I came up on a game and fish officer. He told me someone had called about a dead elk about 500 yards from where we were still tracking. He said they had cut the head off. He showed me the elk and it was hit where I had told him it was hit. He would not let me have the rack to tag and told me he could find out when the auction would be if I wanted to bid on it. When they found the elk the meat was probably still good but all they did was cut the head off. I used to try and help the game and fish when needed. not anymore. I wouldn't lift a finger to help any of them.

How many of you have seen this?

That's almost as bad as watching guys hired by guides and outfitters driving the roads all night spotlighting for big bulls.

    Draw results

Lived and hunted here, all of my life, and will be glad to be moving to New Mexico in a couple of years. I didn't get drawn again for a damned thing. Just keep paying Arizona for the right to apply. I may not have any more luck drawing a resident tag in New Mexico but I will be glad I will no longer be giving anymore money to AZGFD. I have given them enough. I am not rich enough to apply for out of state tags, so I just apply here and I get more sex from the AZGFD than I do tags.
  6. Our Game and Fish Dept. is the enemy. As long as they participate in the wolf project, they have declared war on the hunting public who support them. I am moving out of state soon and not a moment too soon. I considered buying a lifetime hunting license before I move. But in the current state, I can only see that as a waste of money. I have lived and hunted nearly 60 years in Arizona and still love Arizona but am looking forward to moving to aasxer hunter friendly state.

I hope they all choke in their sleep tonight. The dirty worthless maggots.

    Results are Up!!!

Democrats are way better than the AZGFD. They fixed their website. Arizona has been this way every single year. Most inbred bunch ignorant people on the plannet.

You don't know what you are talking about. So just go suck azgfd butt and enjoy it. I do hunt other states and none are as screwed up as this.

Yea! Shame on us for wanting to know the results after paying their sorry a$$ more than any other state for resident tags.

the OFFICIAL 2014 elk results thread.

You are right, in that it is the tree hugging usfs pushing the wolf introduction. But Arizona is the only State game and fish dept. still supporting it. The others realized early what a bunch of craaap it is. It makes me sick to think we have tree huggers controlling the AZGFD. It's been that way for several years now. When they eliminate Arizona hunting they will have to find another job. Well not really they are very good at collecting money for nothing. They will find a way to survive. The only ones to benefit from the wolf project are tree hugging groups, biologists working for the tree huggers, and the anti-hunting groups. There is no other benefit. They are all making a pretty good living off of us.

I guess we will all find out by April 18th, and that is fine with me. I still have no use for AZGFD. As long as they spend the money, they extort from us on introducing wolves into our state. I will continue to think of them as the enemy. As a hunter I feel the AZGFD are worse than anti gun groups. They are a threat to our way of life as hunters.

    Today Is The Day.....

Yea. I wonder what "brother-in-law" out-fit got that contract. It is worse every year. You would think they would get better at it. The first year they did the early draw. the results were out by mid march. I remember because they were out before the New Mexico deadline.

the OFFICIAL 2014 elk results thread.

Gets worse every year. I was excited, the first year they had the early applications for elk and antelope. The first year the results were out in the middle of March. Just in time for the Deadline for New Mexico. I new if I drew I wouldn't have to apply in NM. Well each year since it has been later and later. So I don't give a dang about when they are posted anymore. Typical AZGFD. They probably got chewed out for posting results before the app deadline for New Mexico. Cost New Mexico a lot of app. fees.
  16. SOLD Lincoln pipeline SA-200 welder. Great shape. Runs and welds smooth as silk. I have welded many a tree stand with this thing. Just installed several hundred dollars worth of parts. New Rheostat, new selector switch, new fuel filter assembly. I really went through this thing when I decided to sell it. It has been a reliable tool for many years. I had a pace maker/defibrillator installed a while back, and was told to stay away from welding. So I guess it's time to retire an old friend. This is a great heavy duty welder for anyone with a construction company, or just a week-end welder. I am asking $2,000 for it, and I think it is worth a lot more. Just thought I would give a fellow hunter a shot at it before it goes on Craigslist. I live in Globe, but do travel to the valley often. Phone: 928-402-9492 or PM me.
  17. I'm just saying, the only way to have a say is at the ballot box. If we are afraid of that outcome, then we need to just sit back and quit complaining about what is handed to us. I spent years going to commission meetings. While the meeting is prim and proper, and you are treated like you have a voice, most issues have been decided before being brought up at the meeting. No matter how many very good points have been brought up at meetings they usually fall on deaf ears. I rarely saw anyone convince the commission to change their minds.
  18. One thing about this mess, is that there is absolutely no accountability. The Game and Fish Dept. answers to nobody. The Governor appoints them and forgets about them.
  19. Well everybody is afraid to make it where we vote on the commision. So this is what we have. You can't have it both ways. Either take the chance and make it so we vote on the commission, or stop wining and take what we are given.
  20. OH my Gosh. We have way too much time on our hands.
  21. I have one if you are interested. PM sent. Dave.

    Shortest hunt ever

Actually it was a year long hunt. While hunting coues last year we glassed up a couple of big bucks and my son Kris decided to put in for muley this year. It had been quite a few years since we hunted mule deer, so I decided to apply also. Well I got drawn and Kris, got his second choice for coues. So the scouting was on and Kris and Jay took the first two pictures while scouting the area. We also had a lot of trail cam pics of him and 3 other bucks he was running with. Opening morning we glassed him and the other bucks at 325 yards. They saw us, and began moving out. Ryan whistled a couple of times and he stopped broadside. Ryan said "there's your shot". I calmed down and took the shot, and Ryan said he is running to the right like a bat out of heck. I started to panic because I couldn't get on him again, then Ryan said "he just took a nose dive". What a relief. We spotted him right at day break and only about 10 minutes later the hunt was over. This was one of the rare times scouting and planning paid off for me. Usually I make all kinds of plans and things don't work out. It was the Shortest hunt of my life.

Any sucess in 24A this weekend?

24a used to be a great hunt. The problem now is that with 4 hunts and over 1100 tags each year, the numbers and quality of the deer are going down. There are still some real nice bucks out there, but hunting from October through the end of the year without any rest they get real smart and start moving only at night. The same thing happened with the mule deer in the late 70's and 80's they started giving out over 1600 tags and totally decimated the heard. 24a seems to be the unit game and fish don't care about and use it as a money maker. The mule deer are making a small comeback, but I am sure that when the numbers get up a little they will start again with the over hunting.
