Now for bass at Alamo as they are bloody and on beds, and a week or two for Crappie is just my guess. Between the weather and if they really hit the 1125 level for this flush/lowering, 17' lower than current level, this could be one of those years where the spawn comes and goes without anyone even noticing that it happened.

1st little piggie took less than 4 hours on opening day. Filling my 2nd pig tag proved to be much trickier.. (The group I was chasing got very skittish and jumpy.) So with 6 hours left on the last day, I wasn't picky and took what turned out to be a young boar around 25 lbs or so. When cleaning the skull I noticed his extra teeth. I have seen several pigs much smaller than this guy and they all had a "normal" set of teeth. I have not been able to find any info on "baby or milk" teeth so not sure if this guy was just a bit slow in dropping his or if they are bonus chompers. I noticed and article on the Javelina Hunter site that credited Amandas pics and stated that they usually have all their teeth by 21 months but cannot find a picture of teeth like these. Just curious if anyone has seen a similar set.

Your post got me thinking that maybe she had something to do with my lucky run and just maybe, I can deal with her crazy arse. So I just sent her 5 dozen roses and a ring...

On the down side, I may never draw another tag again.. Just had a nasty break up with my long time GF who works at GnF..

Hey all: Looking for someone to fusion splice/terminate approx. 85 splices total in approximately 15 locations at a single property. All fiber has been pulled and some has already been terminated. It's 12 strand OM1 Multimode. The job is in Safford and DL and SS# must be provided and a background check will be done prior to being allowed on the property. (They usually complete those in 48 hrs) Time frame is last week so.... If you know of anyone, please let me know. Thank you, Jeff

Too early for me but a heads up if you are going in 2023. H&M has 100 gift cards for 80 till the end of the year.. Limit is 5.. Good way to save 100 bucks..

I agree, paper tags are simple enough. One important note, you do not need phone service to tag the animal. You do need your phone however. And my phone dies all the time and losing a phone is easier than a wallet.

You do have to "opt in" to electronic tagging in your portal and then link the app to your portal. It may take a day for them to link up and the licenses appear in the app.

I would be very surprised if a 3rd party can provide a replacement DRAW tag, I wouldn't wait till the last minute if planning on a 3rd party location just in case you do have to visit a GnF office.

Talked with a guide I know today and he just obtained a handful Goulds tags in Mexico. 3K each. I could't care less about turkeys but know some are oddly obsessed with them and I have absolutely no idea if this is a deal or not but if anyone is interested in them, I can put you in touch with him.

I stopped by the Carefree office to get my pile of 2023 OTC tags two weeks ago. I was told by a very confident older lady that I could buy all my OTC through the app. and she had hoped I hadn't driven all the way up there just to get the tags. I again asked specifically about the OTC elk and Javi tags and she again repeated, "no need to come into a GnF office any more, ALL OTC tags could be purchased through the app." So I didn't buy the 2022 elk or pig tags. I could find nowhere in the app where I could purchase them and in fact, info in the app says OTC tags still need to be purchased at GnF offices. I had already opted in to the e-tag program so even though I purchased my tags at a GnF office, I walked away with my 2023 License and just a receipt for the other tags. Another goofy new quirk, for the last 10 years I have purchased my license to run from Jan 1 through Dec 31... Cant do that now. For some silly /stupid reason, the system says you HAVE to make the start date this year so my license is only good from Dec 31 2022 through Dec 30, 2023. So in the field next year, my license won't be valid on the last day of the year.. So I have paper piggy tags and an app with some other tags. Another thing to keep in mind, the app states that it is the hunters responsibility to make sure their phone is charged so you can show your tag to GnF in the field if they check you.

Yes, the trees are all new and in the box. I can't find this exact tree anywhere. I don't know what the "Cassidy" denotes but this is the Cassidy Fraser Fir. It is not a big fat bushy tree but more on the thinner branched side. I'll set one up soon.
