My brother says he's positive that he shot a deer but there weren't any signs of a blood trail. Is this possible and if yes, where do we begin to look. The terrain is very dense of brushes and mesquite tree.

Sad to say that we never found his buck but l have to say this has been the best and toughest hunt I have ever been on. Neither of us tagged out but came close. Just over a month until we head back out to the hills! Big or bust and huntharder. You must not be in the right area. Give me a break. It was our first time in this unit.

Hey guys! I'm out in 36c and im having a really hard time locating coues deer. This past weekend was great, seen a ton of doe and even a few bucks, just couldn't the shot off with all the gunfire around me. Deer got too spooked and lost my chance. Now it's Tuesday and have been seeing a lot less deer activity. Not sure if I'm looking in the wrong area or if the weather effects its. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm camping near mildred peak. Thanks!

Thanks guys yesterday was the first day without hearing gun shots and haven't heard any this mor5. It's windy and coldo but I'll keep at it. Thanks for the info.

Hey what's up guys! Just became a new member and was wondering if anyone had some advice for camping alone in this unit for just a night. Im leaving tomorrow but my friend can't make it out till Friday afternoon. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for all the info guys. Planning on camping near Schaffer ranch house. Went scouting a few times and haven't seen too many signs of illegals or trash left behind. Should I have too worry about leaving camp unattended for long periods of time during the day?
