Is Fed bison purge/hunt on park still happening this month?
tomharveyb replied to MT_Sourdough's topic in Buffalo Hunting
They are livestock just like Elizabeth Warren is native American. They are recognized by Boone and Crocket as free range buffalo for the record book. -
The late Nov coues hunts that run into early Dec are pretty easy to draw and aren't that much different than the late Dec hunts (other than there are more hunters in the earlier one)

Congratulations on a nice bull! Sent you a pm awhile ago -
anyone want to go fox hunting?
tomharveyb replied to GTIMANiac's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
I'm with you. They seem really easy to call in, but I don't see a reason to shoot them. They are harmless little guys. Coyotes...now that's a different story -
Great job helping kids enjoy the outdoors!

I didn't know till today that I live in a nice neighborhood in no man's land.

How about bows that have wheels and sights. Or binoculars Or scent killers. Or OHV's. On and on and on. They all give us advantages that guys didn't have a long time ago. It's getting really hard to know what to whine about any more.

Salt .... period. Everything else is illegal.

What lake is that?

Isn't your closer supposed to get guys out? Or am I missing something. Sickening to watch the Dbacks fight and claw to a lead on the Dodgers only to have the bullpen blow it late.

good shooting!

American Hero passes. John Sidney McCain III

Military hero.....period. Went to his grave a closet liberal with an agenda against Trump. -
For the early hunt-make sure you go to the Buckskin camp. The kids have a blast there-archery, free food, drawings for prizes, etc.

Why nuke it. Always enjoy trail cam stuff. Thanks.

I do remember you, Mike! That's the amazing part about sheep hunting- all the people who show up to help. Like no other hunting I've ever done.

I'll be there in Nov with my grandson hoping for his 2nd big game animal..he has none so far but has a 4a youth elk tag Oct. 12 first. Good luck to all the young hunters!

I hunted it in 2010 when there were 4 tags. Lots of sheep but nothing very big. Got mine on day 15 when I came to realize that the 160 I hoped for just wasn't there. Still a sheep tag in 15bw is better than spending your life hoping for a tag somewhere else. The experience and memories are still what make a good hunt IMHO. I think the unit has gone downhill from then till now. Best of luck!

34a muzzy any antlered for me (2nd choice)- mildly enthused. ... late kaibab youth for grandson=really excited!

Great news. Hope it does it every day for awhile. I was scouting 4a this week- dust bowl and every tank was dry.

If it's like the past - around July 12

Now that I know I'll be taking my grandson to Kaibab Nov 9-12, wondering if anybody who has done that hunt can give me some pointers. Will the deer have moved out to the lower country, or does that happen only when the snow starts. No predictable pattern? Due to a tight schedule , I plan on going up a day or two early, but that's it. I'd like to at least have a general idea of where to start. Did the mid October hunt 2 years ago and there were deer all over the place, but up on top. Thanks in advance for any help.
