It was pretty tough I saw 2 gobblers and heard about 4. I almost got a shot at one but he held up in an aspen thicket. Small birds though. Not like the hogs we got back in Missouri

Ok thank you for such a detailed response. It sounds like that area is pretty rough country so some scouting might be a smart idea. Have you ever hunted in New Mexico? Is it hard to draw a tag. Again thanks for the input

Yea horses do help. Do you know anybody that just rents the horses?? That might be cheaper

Well didn't get drawn for elk again here in Az so I'm trying to make some other plans. Could someone please give me some suggestions for the early season bow hunt in Colorado? Maybe around Durango?? pm me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
