I figure you guys would be the best group to ask. Does anyone know of any German Shorthair Pointer pups that will be coming up for sale in the next couple of months? I am looking for a AKC Female with a decent bloodline, the bigger the Sire and Dam the better. Thanks

Probably a late response but we use to see them alot around the lake on top.

I put a muzzle break on my .270 and it reduced the recoil a bunch. Just something to consider

I think this is going to be a really bad fire year. With the Tinder fire ablaze I thought it would be helpful to keep track of what's burning, where. Any updates?

Thanks for the website!

I think you would ne fine as long as you keep the shot around 100y and maybe longer with some Amax or Berger style bullets. I Would just look at the kinetic impact charts for what you are shooting and make an educated guess at what distance is reasonable.

I am 100% behind game and fish on the trail camera, drone and satellite image laws. These past couple of decades have really stacked the odds in the hunter’s favor and its time to do little more to protect the tradition of fair chase.

I just read an article from ABC stating that fleas around flagstaff have tested positive for the Plague. They are urging people not to sleep on the ground and to avoid contact with dead animals. Kind of a hard thing to do as a hunter! I just thought I would give everyone a heads up. Stay safe!

I have only been in AZ for 10 years and this is the first I have heard of the Plague. I dont think it is somthing to be concerned with but it is somthing to be aware of. I would be the guy to get bit by an infected flea day one of my hunt and think I had the flu for the next 14 days only to wind up dead in my lazy boy when I got home. No way would I think I had the Plague! Just some food for thought...no intentions of "freaking people out".

No its not funny, its true. They supposedly discovered it when a resident noticed a bunch of Prarie dogs dying off.

Has anyone used the this product? Im thinking at $1999 it might be a better alternative to a Honda invertor. I want to see if it will keep a 7.2cu deep freeze running for 14 days. As it stands now we can run a gas generator for 5 hours a day and keep things chilled. It claims to have a 20 hour solar charge time and can run a max of 1500w for 3 hours. Thoughts?

Ok I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on this topic. I am considering using waterdogs in march on lake Roosevelt to help get the kids a few more bites. I have Never used them before but all the hype surrounding these expensive little critters makes it darn tempting. From what I can tell it is legal on that lake. So are they worth it? Is Rosey a good lake to try them on or am I wasting my time/money? Thanks for your input

Really good to know thanks we have never been during Easter. I think this time we are going to pack all of our gear in the boat and try to find a good cove to set up in.
-
Well they were all sold out of waterdogs when we went up so I got a few minnows. Took the drive to Appache past canyon lake and wow that road sucks! Live and learn I guess. We camped at burnt corral the first night (extremely crowded with people) I launched the boat early in the morning only to find out my steering was siezed up! Pulled out of Appache and headed to the mechanic by Bostons and they got me back in buisness. Decided to stick with Roosevelt the second night but had to camp down on the flats (also crowded) since my usual spot was under water. The kids hooked up with a few good smallies off minnows near the bridge for the next couple days then we called it quits. Going back up easter weekend hope to find the LM and relax a little more this time with out the crowds.

Wow thanks for the tip Jake! Maybe pm me next time I would hate to see your spot go to crap just because your trying help a guy and his kids out.

We are headed up on tuesday the 14th which is spring break week for the kids around here. Maybe we will hit Apache first so we can get a good spot at burnt corral then back to windy hill later in the week to check out the LM bite. Thanks for the input.

I have fished Apache one time and didnt do good at all. It wasnt during the spawn so maybe it will be different for us this year. Any thoughts on where to camp? I like to pull the boat up on the shore overnight next to our camp spot. It seems like Apache is all cliffs from what I have seen.
-
Well looks like were going to go for it! Ill be down at windy point with the family mid march for 3 days then 3 days at Apache. The bait shop in mesa said they have waterdogs and plan to have them still come march $24.99 a dozen. They seem to be the only ones selling them. If anyone has a lead on cheaper dogs let me know. Thanks!

Thanks elkaholic good info

So the question remains is it a good spawn bait for bass or am I wasting my money. Keep in mind this is for the kids.

Well thats good news. Whats the best way to keep them? Regular minnow bucket?
