Still trying.... I have been on multiple Bulls everyday so I hope its just a matter of time. I have some really cool trail cam pics i'll post for you rifle hunters when I get back to my PC. Rut has remaind in full swing plenty of bulls chasing cows (they'll respond to calls but I havent had one come in since the second day) theres been so much pressure on the herd I think they are really really call shy. Sitting water tonight all for now.

Wind should quit tomorrow afternoon just in time for the phoenix circus to hit the woods.

Thanks for the inspiration. I called in a nice 6x6 this morning. He was running about 100 mph straight at me and I couldn't get a shot. Even though he came in he still didn't make a sound other then the branches breaking. Looks like rain is moving in...could be a good afternoon

Well thanks, they are still not talking but I have seen a some nice bulls. A few years ago I couldn't walk into the woods without kicking up a cow this year I have no clue where they all went. I have walked at least 15 miles between yesterday and today. Im writing this up agianst a tree with my bow across my lap :/ Ok im back to work! here Elk Elk Elk...

Anyone seeing any rut activity in units 4 or 3C? Im dying to check my cams but cant make it up for a few more days. The weather is suppose to get colder all this week then right back up to high 70s.

2013 4B 6x6 day 8 or 9 I dont remember. I have the same tag this year and I cant wait! I was able to get the whole hunt off this year so I'll be up there from the 9th-25th.

Carbon express f-15's. The tip and one of the blades broke on entry. They are garbage in my book. I went to Muzzy 3 blade but they got me nervous because when I shot my Couse in Jan I had a double lung pass through with almost no blood trail. He was quartered pretty hard as well so that might have alot to do with it. Im thinking I'll switch slicktriks.

It has come to my attention that there might be some legal issues when using dogs. There is fine line between tracking and hunting. I certainly do not want to put anyone in a position to do somthing illegal. Thanks for the input!

I am very familiar with Ft. Huachuca and the deer are thicker then rats in a shoot house! I would call it more of a game farm for the old retired Vets to play around on. I cant think of a better place to shoot a Couse in AZ! If i was still active thats the only place i would want to put in for. Good luck on your hunt!
