Someone could pick this up along with the HS Precision thumbhole stock that is also for sale and have a pretty nice rifle. Swap the trigger, barrel and recoil lug, then true the action and it would make a real nice rifle for about $1,500.

The good news is that any many areas, there are tags available for deer (both whitetail and Mule) and elk during the same time as antelope. So, even if you whack your antelope in a day, you can go hunt elk or deer. Last year I hunted elk and deer and left myself only 1 day at the end of my vacation to fill my doe antelope tags. I filled them both on that last day. If you are only hunting antelope, just plan on a short trip.

About the same plan I have, except I am looking at Wyoming instead of Colorado. A ton of inexpensive over the counter tags for big game if you are a resident. The politics in Wyoming will never be an issue. There are less people in the entire state than there is in the City of Mesa. Putting myself on a 2 year plan to get there, that is when my stepson graduates high school. Good plan except for the weather, southern Colorado isn't much more than flagstaff weather wise. I have no desire to be snowed in or frozen out most of the year MULEPACKHUNTER, have you checked into what over the counter opportunities are available for residents of Colorado? I am curious as I could see southern Colorado being a really good option as well. I just want to be able to hunt without always relying on a draw.

I’ve got a pool and never use the thing. I wouldn’t go so far to bury it, but if I ever move out of this house, the next one won’t have a pool.

Earlier tonight I was looking to see if he had a new season of Meat Eater on Netflix. I really like that show. They need to put all his seasons on Netflix.

Put in for Region C general deer for both my dad and I, put in for area 73 type 1 antelope for me (buck tag), put in for area 73 type 6 for both my dad and I (2 antelope doe each). Tags were just under $1,400. Fricken expensive. I just need to move to Wyoming. My buddy that lives there gets no less than 8-10 big game tags per year for himself and spends less than $400 for all of them.

Good Lord....What Is Wrong With ME???
Cell4soul replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Hey Lance. My buddy just turned me on to a website to find some decent deals. You have to join to look at their deals. It is Dvor.com. They currently have a .243 26 Proof Research blank with Sendero contour and a 7.5 twist for $499. Pretty dang good deal if you are willing to go to a 26 barrel. They have a .277 26 Proof barrel with a 10 twist for $369.00. If it was an 8 twist Id be all over it and do a build around the Berger 170 EOL. It looks like this website is part of Optics Planet -
Not sure. It is the Model 10 Predator.

MODERATORS.......about time this thread just gets removed altogether. It has become a bunch of lame name calling. It was originally posted about the Vikings and their season is over. The thread serves no benefit on this forum and frankly makes the forum look as stupid as the people that are name calling back and forth.

Coues newbie looking for some help
Cell4soul replied to wyodeer's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I go to Wyoming every year to hunt deer and antelope with my buddy that lives in Casper. This year, he is going to come down to hunt Coues with me. We will probably put in for 36B late November/early December. We will be backpacking in. I’ve only hunted it once a few years ago, but there are a lot of deer and really good draw odds. It is beautiful country with a lot of what you describe you are looking for. We will likely plan on spending a week down there. If you want to join us, we may be able to work something out. Where are you at in Wyoming? -
The term racist is thrown around WAY too much these days. Comments like this on a public forum, from an idiot like you, only help to validate all those that so freely use the term racist. I hate the fact that we have millionaires, or anyone in this country, kneeling for the National Anthem. That said, stupid talk like this on a public forum, especially a hunting forum, only furthers their argument as to why they are kneeling; and, it just makes all of us look copable in your thoughts and beliefs. I suggest you either edit your post or a moderator remove it altogether. For the record, I watched very little football this year due to the keeling. I pretty much only watched if I happened to be at my local bar and a game was on. Last year I watched all the time and even had NFL Sunday Ticket from Direct TV.....I canceled it as soon as the kneeling started.

Need help deciding on a New Mexico Antelope unit
Cell4soul replied to Big Browns's topic in Antelope Hunting
Have you considered Wyoming? New Mexico is a 5-6 hour drive with low draw odds. Wyoming is a 14-16 hour drive, depending on where you go in the state, but good draw odds and even over the counter opportunities. -
6.5 creedmoor starting point
Cell4soul replied to ctafoya's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I agree with Stomp442. 41 to 42 grains of H4350 with Berger 140 VLDH. I am loading 41.4 grains. I believe this is over book max, so work up slow. My Savage Model 10 magazine allows me to seat the bullets pretty long, so this may also affect your powder capacity vs. mine. I am using CCI BR2s with this load. -
I went from a Eberlestock Just One pack to the Kifaru Hunter frame with the Nomad II and a camp bag. I made the right choice. It is amazing what a good pack will do for transferring the weight of the pack to your legs instead of your back/shoulders. I do use the gun bearer and like that as well. Kifaru is coming out with a rifle scabbard, but after using the gun bearer, I won't waste my money. I really like the gun bearer. It is light weight and my rifle is much more easily accessible when I use the gunbearer at my hip belt. When packing into or out of camp, you can move the gun bearer to the PALS at the rear of the pack/frame if you want, but I don't find it necessary.
