I think I may order this HS Precision stock for the rifle. Stockey's has it in stock, so I wouldn't have to wait to have a stock built. It looks like it will only need to be opened up very little to fit Sendero Light contour barrel. The stock weighs about 32 oz, so it will still be a fairly light weight option.

All action and barrel work is finished. I will pick the barreled action up this weekend and get the stock work done after I return to Arizona. My buddy sent me a couple of teaser pics:

I purchased mine through Stockey's. They have a good size selection in stock.

Back up. I just listed it on another forum, it would rather sell it local. Great pack for a great price.

Thank you for sharing, great video.

Hunting season is approaching. This is a great pack that has served me well. A good price for anyone looking for a solid "do all" pack.

I ordered the APA Little Bastard. I am heading up to Wyoming in early May for the grand opening of my buddy's lodge in Wapiti. I am hoping the rifle is done by then.

I already posted this on my PT&G post, but my reamer and go gauge arrived at my buddy's house today, so the chamber will be reamed soon. Last piece of the build will be the muzzle brake. I asked before but I'll ask again for final opinions, which muzzle brake on a Proof Research Sendero Light barrel?
-
Anyone have experience ordering from PT&G? I ordered a reamer and go gauge on 12/07/2107. They said 6-8 weeks turnaround time. Is their timeframe generally accurate?
-
Alright, so I called Monday before last. I am glad I did because that pushed them to finish production and ship the reamer and go gauge. Both arrived at my buddy's house today and we are ready to chamber the rifle.....I can't wait to shoot this thing. The barrel is a Sendero Light Proof Research. What side-ported brake would be best?

Taylor Gets a Truck (And I Get a Hunting Truck Until Then)
Cell4soul replied to lancetkenyon's topic in The Campfire
Great trucks. I had a 2005 that to this day is the best truck I have ever owned. I have been considering getting another Tacoma. My stepson is turning 16 in a little over a year and that is eventually what he will drive. Here is a couple pics of the Tacoma I built. This one had the obvious mods plus a Ford 9" rear end and ARB lockers front and rear. -
I have a Just One in Western Slope. PM me if you want to discuss.

Was in their shop for the first time yesterday. I went there to check out Kryptek Camo as they recently became a dealer for it. Good guys. They had some nice rifles on hand. They are getting a shipment of H4350 later this week. They had a bunch of .22 ammo on hand. They had a decent selection of other powders. I thought I would give a little shout out. I usually go to Sportsman's Warehouse as my first place to shop, but I think I will give the smaller independent shops first crack at my business moving forward. Any other good local small businesses out there ya'll like?

Good feedback and hopefully the owner is on this forum or knows someone who is so they might be able to listen and change business practices. It is always good to see small business owners be successful. One would think that customer service would be of utmost importance to their business model when they have to compete with the big national chains. My experience with them yesterday was positive, but I did only purchase 2 bricks of .22 ammo.
-
Edit....just read your post, looks like you found one at their shop already. Nice looking rifle.

I stopped by a gun shop I have never been to, Bear Mountain in Mesa. They had the Browning X Bolt Hells Canyon Long Range Hunter in stock in 26 Nosler. It was a nice looking rifle. Cerakoted with a McMillan stock from the factory. 26 Nosler would be a great caliber for this rifle.
