I'm sure that the fact that it's Patriots Day wasn't missed but the A-hole(s) who did this.

Tell us about your elk rifle, and cartridge?

Since I have a elk tag for the first time, I guess I can now say I have an Elk gun or two...Here's what will be in my camp this year... 300 WSM shooting 168 TTSX @ around 2950ft/sec and .264 Win Mag - yet to settle on an elk load but thinking either Nosler Partition or Scirocco II. Scirocco is shooting a bit over 3100ft/sec and just about half MOA @ 100yrds and under MOA at 300 yrds

    End Bonus Points!!

I wouldn't mind seeing the system changed just a bit. I liked what Utah does/did (not sure if it's still in place) with the two year wait period after you draw a tag.

    Once in a lifetime?

Below is a quote directly from AZGFD website - it's in the first paragraph of one of the prime antlope unit discriptions so it would appear to me that coyote predation is the factor that if not taken care of renders all the other potential factors irrelevant. Address that problem and I would imagine everyone could draw more than one tag in a lifetime. "Between 85 and 95 percent of all fawns conceived are lost to various mortality factors each year. Research indicates most fawn mortality is caused by coyote predation."

    Gay Marriage

This is nothing more than a distractionary issue Liberals love to keep in the center of the discussion so that moderate people that could and would support a more conservative agenda stay away. Distractionary issues like this bring out a segment on the conservative side that make conservative appear to be narrow minded and bigots pushing moderate people to the left. The fact is if you boiled it down to the "equal rights" the gay community wants such as rights of inheratance, rights to be involved in medical decisions especially end of life decisions and some as simple as visitation in medical facilities not too many people would really complain. The fact that the left insists on labeling it as "Marriage" is what get's people bent. Make it simple - Marriage is governed by your chruch and faith Civil Union is governed by the government

    The latest on border security

Just pawns in a high stakes political chess match. You can bet the cuts won't be anywhere as deep in Blue states as you will see in states that voted Red.

  12. I'm working on landscaping my front yard and it's proving to be a bigger task than I'm up for by myself. Would like to find a laborer or two to assist. If anyone is intersted or knows someone that is interested PM me. Looking for this Saturday and Sunday. Would be ideal work for a highschool kid. I'm paying cash and will provide meals. Thanks.

    The sandwhich and the wagon

Hey now lot's of smart hard working people in OR...their the farmers, ranchers, loggers and fisherman unfortnately about 30 years ago Californians started moving north for the lower cost of living and they corrupted the state and now far outnumber the smart hard working folks. You should also notice that was at Oregan State (Beavers) not the ultra-liberal morally corrupt University of Oregon (Duck). If that had been at UofO he wold have been booed off the stage rather than applauded.

    Hunting with Justo

Glad to see Justo sold some tags. How was the ranch looking? Did you see more deer than in past years? Nice to hear you were seeing Javelina hope that's a sign the lions have been addressed. Congrats on some fine bucks!
  24. Congrats. Really nice to see your fine work being recognized. http://www.arizonahighways.com/photography.asp
  25. I think your math may be off...I don't know how many premits were issued in unit 10 last year so I will assume that your 2500 is correct. Based on that assumption and my observations that on the hunt I was on the average camp had 5-6 people per tag holder - I'm sure it's less than that for deer and antelope so I'll go with 2.5 per tag holder....that would result in $60 x 2500 tags x 2.5 = $375,000 in new revenue - that's a good amount for road repair, fence mending and trash collection...in these tough times I'd like additional revenue like that.
